I really didn’t warm up to Impera as a whole until I saw Papa sexily walking up the stairs singing Kaisarion and now I have constant earworms and listen to the whole album on repeat

Ugh one of my favorite dynamics to write. I hope this is what you wanted and you enjoy it! Thank you for requesting 🫶🏻

Tumblr media
Eddie spent years being made fun of and being insecure. In ways, it helped him build a tough shell and made him stronger. But it also made him void of any feelings. He turned cold-hearted and didn't let anyone get close enough to him to hurt him.
He was still a teenager, and he had his own needs. And when his hair grew out and he dressed in chains and leather, more girls were at his feet than he had ever seen. Most girls were from the hideout, groupies that lived to watch him on stage. They threw themselves at him for a chance to get backstage and be under his touch.
Being in a band was the happiest thing that happened to him and he loved the easy access of girls to choose from. School was hell, but the second he was on stage, he was what all the girls wanted. And no one would take that feeling away from him.
~~~
Eddie was half asleep as he sat in class. His hand on his palm as he felt his eyes grow heavier. He had a late night with a girl's name he didn't remember. He moaned in discomfort as he felt her marks still stinging on his back.
"Hi," a soft voice spoke in front of him. He snapped open his eyes to see a girl in front of him. She had glasses, and her hair was down. She wore a little sweater and a skinny pair of jeans.
"Can I help you?" Eddie yawned
"Um..." She said as she looked around the classroom. Everyone is moving to sit with their partners. "We are partners. Were you listening?" She asked with a little giggle.
Eddie couldn't help but smile as the sound left her lips. He had to admit, for a quiet nerd, she was adorable.
"I was not, but take a seat," he said with a smile. He used his foot to push out the chair next to him. She moved delicately as she put down her books and sat next to him. He smelled her perfume and examined her even closer. She had these big curious eyes, a soft nose, and incredibly pink lips, and her skin looked soft.
"Well..." She began to explain everything he missed. He tried to listen, but he couldn't stop watching as her lips moved to form the words. He nodded along as she continued to talk.
She turned her head to look at him, she felt her face burn as he stared at her with a small smile on his face.
She coughed and removed her eyes from his. "So! Let's start."
~~~
By the third day of working together, Eddie loved saying her name. He loved how sweet it sounded as it left his tongue.
He was shocked to find himself so lost in her. Not that being a nerd was bad, he used to be one. But he never thought of himself being attractive while being a nerd. But God, did she do it well.
He was captivated by how smart she was. Way too smart to be in his class. She was mature and he could tell by the way she spoke with a high vocabulary. She didn't make him feel dumb, which was different. She was sweet and took the time to explain anything he didn't understand.
He was smitten.
~~~
Five days into working together he wanted more. He wanted to see her outside of school, outside of her shell. He wanted to see how she looked in the outside world and how her personality might change. He wondered if she had another side of her. A side that didn't stress about grades and let loose.
"What are you doing tonight?" He asked, not realizing he cut her off as she explained another part of the project. He was too lost in his head as he thought about her.
She closed her mouth and gave her answer a thought.
"Well, it's Friday so nothing." She laughed, "Why do you ask? Are you worried we won't finish? Because we have five minutes and just one last paragraph." She explained as she pushed up her glasses.
"Nah, respectfully, I could care less about this project," he chuckled, "I want to hang out, just the two of us and not focus on the project."
She froze as she looked over at him. His eyes sparkled and the sun shined perfectly on his face.
"Why would you want that?" She nervously asked. She couldn't form a single idea why he would want to hang out with her. She wasn't anywhere near his usual crowd of friends.
"Because I want to get to know you. I was thinking about a date?" He offered. He felt a little nervous and didn't understand why. Asking out girls was something he could do in his sleep, but she had his stomach fluttering and his hands sweaty.
He felt more nervous as he waited for her answer.
"Why not," she smiled. She clicked her pen and grabbed his hand. He flinched a little as the pen tickled his hand as she wrote down her phone number.
"Call me," she smiled as she picked up her stuff. A second later the bell rang and she was gone in a flash.
Eddie bit back his smile as he looked down at his hand. Her number and a little heart written next to it. He jumped out of his seat, a bounce in his step as he walked out.
~
Eddie didn't realize he was causing much of a commotion until Wayne walked into his disaster room.
"Edward, what in the hell are you doing?" Wayne asked as he took in the sight of Eddie's room. Clothes were thrown everywhere, and shoes were missing their pairs.
"I'm trying to find a nice shirt but everything is a band!" Eddie cussed to himself.
Wayne couldn't help the smile that went across his face, "And why do you all of a sudden need a nice shirt?" He was young once, and he knew exactly why his nephew was stressed.
"Don't look at me like that," Eddie groaned as he yanked off his shirt and added it to the no pile.
"What's her name?" Wayne asked, he leaned against the door with his arms crossed.
"Y/N," Eddie sighed, "I asked her out and I have nothing to wear!"
"Looks to me like you have a lot of options," Wayne laughed, "But what if we go get a nice shirt? I'll take you."
Eddie looked at his watch, he had a good few hours before he needed to leave.
"Fine but we don't speak of it," Eddie said as he pointed at Wayne.
Eddie's leg shook in the car as they pulled up to the small strip mall.
"How come you are this nervous?" Wayne asked as he got out of the car. "We share a wall so I know you aren't shy with many girls."
Eddie blushed in embarrassment, and he mumbled an apology.
"She's different, I guess." Eddie shrugged, he walked behind Wayne as they walked into the shop.
~
Eddie stood in front of the mirror as he sprayed on cologne. He used water to pat down his hair, and he ran his hands over his new button-up.
He was nervous but he was excited.
Wayne wished him luck as he walked out the door. Eddie got in his van and headed to the address she gave over the phone. His heart raced when he talked to her for a few seconds. He was not sure what he was going to do when he was with her all night.
Before he knew it he was outside her door and knocking.
"Hi, Eddie," she smiled as she opened the door. "You look very handsome." She was surprised to see him in something else other than a band shirt and ripped jeans.
"Oh, thank you," he smiled, "you look wonderful." His eyes skimmed up and down her body. She wore a simple and casual dress. It was white with little sunflowers. It matched her personality. She wore her glasses and light makeup.
"Thank you," she smiled.
Eddie gestured for her to walk in front of him, they walked to his van and got inside. She listened to his music as he drove to the location of their date. She was nervous. She had never been on a date before and definitely not with a guy like Eddie.
"I hope you like water," Eddie said, Y/N looked out the windshield and saw that there was a little pond. He got out of the van and opened her door. She thanked him as she got out. She waited as he grabbed a basket from his backseat.
He led them down a little hill, his hand holding hers as she wobbled.
Once they made it to the flat ground, he let go of her hand. He reached into the basket and pulled out a blanket. He threw it on the ground and offered her to sit first.
She smiled as she sat down, smoothing down her dress to cover her thighs. Eddie sat next to her and took out a few snacks from the basket.
Within an hour they were talking like they knew each other for years. Eddie was learning so much about her and it made him like her even more. She had an amazing personality and she was funny. She made Eddie laugh so hard that water came out of his nose. Which made her laugh so hard she had to hold her stomach.
She didn't think she had ever been so happy to be with someone.
And for once, Eddie loved getting to know someone.
As another hour passed, Eddie's urgers got the best of him. She was telling a story and he was lost in her eyes. The way the moon shined down on her and the sound of the water, it couldn't get more romantic in his eyes.
Eddie didn't notice he was leaning in until she froze. He looked down at her lips as he closed the space between them. He softly kissed her lips, and his hands reached forward to wrap around her waist.
She was nervous but she kissed him back. Her hands shook as she moved her arms around his neck. She was new to this and she wasn't sure how to kiss him back. But as he kissed her harder, she got the hang of it.
The kiss got heated as he slipped his tongue into her mouth, she shivered and was surprised to hear a moan slip from her throat.
Eddie took the moan as a green light to move forward. His hands moved down to her thighs and began to slip under her dress.
Her lips stopped and she yanked back. Her hands stopped his hands from moving even further.
"Don't be nervous," he whispered, he went to attach his lips to hers again but she turned her head.
"I'm not, It's our first date, Eddie. I don't want to rush anything." She explained honestly.
"It's not rushing. I do this on all my first dates." Eddie shrugged like it wasn't a big deal.
Y/N felt a blow hit her chest. All of his dates? How many has he been on? How many had he brought to this exact spot?
"You're a pig," she scoffed as she shoved him off of her. She stood up.
"Woah, what's going on?" He asked as he stood up. He wasn't aware his fuck boy ways were sneaking out of him.
"Absolutely nothing anymore," she glared, "take me home." She marched to his van without a glance back.
~
The car ride was silent. She didn't speak a word, just stared out the window.
She should have known better.
"Did I do something wrong?" he asked as he pulled up to her house.
"I'll see you Monday." She spat as she got out and slammed his door.
"Y/N!" he yelled after her as he got out. He grabbed her arm and turned her around.
"What did I do?" he asked genuinely.
"I do this on all my dates," she mocked, her voice deep as she repeated his words. "I should have known it was all an act."
The realization smacked him in the face.
"Shit, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to push like that." His eyes were soft as he apologized. "None of it is an act! I really like you and I'm not used to feeling that way. I'm used to something different, you know?"
"Maybe you need to figure out everything you feel, and maybe we can talk when you are ready to face those feelings." She smiled sadly and pecked his cheek. He watched as she walked inside.
~~~
The next night Eddie was all over the place. He performed and ran straight to the bar. He wanted to drink his sorrows away. He had one shot and he blew it. He showed just how washed up he was. He slammed down his shot and called for another.
"Hard night?" A random girl asked as she sat next to him. He turned his head to take in the blonde.
"Yep," he said, slamming down his second shot.
"Let me make you feel better," she whispered into his ear.
~
Eddie sat in the back of his van with the random girl on his lap. Her lips were on his neck, but everything felt wrong.
He wasn't enjoying it, and it wasn't making him forget about her. He tried to close his eyes, but all he saw was her sweet smile as they laughed by the water.
He stopped the girl's hands as they went for his belt.
"I can't do this. I'm sorry," he said, he didn't look at her as he grabbed his shirt and slipped it on.
"Are you serious? Since when?" the girl scoffed
"Have you ever really liked someone? Not like being in love, but in that area where you can see yourself falling in love with them?" He asked, the girl sighed and slipped on her shirt.
"Yeah. Chances are if you can already see yourself falling in love, it'll happen. You stuck in that spot?" She asked
"You know my reputation around here. I fuck and move on. She's different. I asked her out and we had an amazing date, then I fucked it up." He sighed, "Not sure how to fix it."
"Admitting it to yourself is the first step,"
"And the next?" he asked
"You admit it to her."
~~~
Monday morning arrived and Eddie was ready to win her back.
Since the project was finished, she wouldn't be sitting next to him. But that was not going to stop him.
He wrote a little note this morning, asking to meet outside during lunch. He walked in and saw her already sitting at her spot. He took a deep breath and handed the note to her.
She looked up at him but didn't say a word.
Eddie walked back to his desk. All throughout class he kept looking back at her.
~
Eddie waited outside and checked his watch. Lunch started ten minutes ago and she wasn't there. He was nervous he might have messed up too much and that she didn't care to fix it. She probably realized he wasn't worth the hassle or the emotions he caused.
He crunched the flowers in his grip as he looked over his shoulder.
"Hi,"
He heard her soft voice before he saw her. He turned around and smiled as she walked closer.
He was nervous as he handed her the flowers, "these are for you."
"Thanks," she said quietly as she took the flowers from his hands.
"I'm really sorry for acting like a dick. You were right, I needed to figure out everything I felt. I went to the bar and I met someone."
Y/N ignored the pain she felt as she listened.
"My plan was to do what I always did. Sleep with someone until I forgot why I was there in the first place. But I stopped it because it felt wrong. I hated myself for being with her. I kept thinking of you." He stepped closer as he held her hand.
"I was doing the wrong thing and with the wrong person. And it made me realize, that I really like you. And I want my main focus to be just on you. I want you." He looked deep into her eyes. "I would love to have the chance to take you out again. I've never actually been on a date, that was my first real one. I know I fucked up the beautiful night we had, but I really think I can make you feel special."
"I guess there's no harm in giving it a shot." She smiled
Eddie jumped to his feet with excitement.
"Thank you!" he crushed her in a hug as she laughed.
~~~
They had been dating for a month and Eddie was true to his word. She felt more special than ever and it was all because of him.
She felt a little nervous as they walked into the hideout. He was honest about his past here and the reputation he had. But she wanted to be a supportive girlfriend and watch him perform. She had to try to forget about all the girls there and just focus on her man.
"The second I'm done, I will be coming straight to you," he smiled. He leaned in and pressed his lips against hers. She was in a territory where Eddie was never taken, and she wanted to prove herself.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him harder. She wasn't shy as she snuck her tongue in his mouth. Her body rocked against his as his hands landed on her ass.
He felt his head spin as she pulled away. His eyes slowly opened as he caught his breath
"What was that?" he asked, his eyes dark as he drank her in
"Good luck kiss," she said with a shrug and smirk
"I'm going to need luck hiding the front of my pants," he teased as he adjusted his tight jeans.
"I'll help you faster," she whispered in his ear. She enjoyed the way he shuddered.
He kept his eyes on her as he walked into the back.
~
She understood why so many girls adored her boyfriend. The way he performed was incredible. It was hard to look anywhere else.
She waited at a table in the back as he wrapped up. His sweaty body came walking towards her but a girl stepped in.
Y/N couldn't hear the conversation but she could tell the girl was flirting by the way she ran her hand up Eddie's arm.
Then another girl came after that one left. And then other.
Y/N felt sick as she watched countless girls walk up and flirt with him. It was a painful reminder of what Eddie's past was.
She was quick to run outside, needed fresh air and to be away from the scene she was stuck watching over and over.
Eddie was quick to push everyone aside and follow her out.
"Hey baby," he said softly, she was leaning against the wall.
"You were amazing!" she praised as she pulled him into a hug. Eddie hugged her back and thanked her. He pulled back but kept his arms around her.
"Want to tell me what happened in there?" Eddie asked
Y/N sighed and looked down at her feet
"I was just a little jealous."
"Why? You are my girlfriend, they've got nothing on you." Eddie explained
Y/N scoffed and unhooked her arms from him.
"They have all had sex with you, Eddie! They've got plenty on me. I mean, I am nothing like those girls."
"Exactly!" Eddie said as he placed his hands on her face. "I don't want you to be anything like them. I want you because you are you. Yes, I've been physical with them, but that is all. There is no connection or emotional ties. It's different with you because I really see myself falling in love with you."
"Really?" she smiled as she looked up at him.
"Of course." He said as he crashed his lips on hers. She moaned as she kissed him back, her hands in his hair.
After a few seconds, she pulled away. Smirking as he chased her lips. She had him right around her finger.
"You know..." she started, her hands slipped down his body and rested on top of his jeans. "Maybe I'll eliminate the one thing they have on me." Her smirk made Eddie shiver in excitement.
"As in sex?" Eddie choked out. His eyes lit up like Christmas as he practically bounced with anticipation.
"Van, now." She said as she turned around and walked towards his fan.
He watched her walk away with a dopey smile on his face.
"YOU COMING?" she yelled as she turned. She walked backward and kept her eyes on him. She laughed as he seemed to snap out of his daydream. He fished out his keys and dropped them on the floor.
"SHIT, I'M COMING!" he screamed as he bent down and grabbed his keys.
She giggled as he ran straight to the van.

I hope your requests are open. I had this idea of Lando dating either a singer or dancer. Mostly inspired how he said in a video that he would like to be a singer for 24h. Basically Lando surprises the reader on tour on a location of your choosing. The fans are freaking out about him being there, because they haven’t made it official to their fans and after the show they make it public. Maybe by a post where he is backstage with her being fluffy or something. It’s purely an idea so if you don’t like it then feel free to ignore it.

I squeal as I jump into my boyfriend's arms, he spins me around while my head is buried in his neck, “I missed you!” Once my feet are back on the ground, I look at him. Taking every bit of him in, the face I have memorized. I look into my favorite eyes in the world, and smile.
“I missed you too.” He tugs at my waist a bit and kisses me softly. “I’m excited for tonight.”
“Great to see you too, Y/n.” Max fewtrells tone makes me laugh instantly. He’s staring at us like we’ve commuted some crime.
“Hi Max. I’m happy you could come!” I lean into my boyfriend, noticing the camera around his neck.
He nods, “I’m worried how much you like Lan but, you’re good so.” I laugh as he gets distracted by my manager walking by with food.
Because he’s gone, I drag Lando to my dressing room where he immediately falls onto the couch, smiling widely. “Look at you, all famous and talented.”
“Right!” I tease, “You have no idea what it’s like!” I walk closer and Lando’s hands slide up the back of my legs, staring up at me.
He stops them right before the hem of my skirt. “You look good. Not fair that I have to share you with the thousands of people out there.” He refers to my current packed venue just as the opener starts another song.
He tugs me a bit closer so I move down slowly until I'm straddling him, his hands now on my ass as he smirks at me. Lando has this look that he does, like everytime he sees me he just has to be as close as possible to me.
I rest my hands on his neck and kiss him. He mumbles, “I really missed you.” He tugs me closer and kisses me harder.
I laugh into him, “I do have to go out eventually so don’t get too excited…” He groans when I say it and moves his lips to my neck, “Lando…”
“Don’t all rockstars do this?” He eyes me as I laugh, his lips meeting mine again as there’s a knock at the door.
Lando and I end up backstage with my crew while my guitarist strums on his guitar and my manager Ally goes over tonight as if I haven’t done it a million times.
I’m sitting on Lando’s lap, a bit more PG this time, with his hand on my hip as I listen to Ally talk.
She’s pacing before she turns and sigh at us, “You two are adorable.” It catches me off guard a bit because she’s always been the one saying we shouldn’t be public because of our careers.
It makes me happy that she supports us, even if she does think he’s bad press.
She’s pulled away as I get a five minute stage call. “You’re going to be amazing and i’ll be front row!” Lando grins, pushing my hair back behind my ear.
I laugh, “Lan, you’re in a box.” I’ve sat him and Max in VIP for my friends and family with Gracie Abrams and Finneas so that should be interesting.
“I’m seriously so proud of you.” His smile is so contagious, “You’re so talented and amazing and beautiful and perfect.” I want to cry at his words. But there’s no time because my stage manager hands me my microphone and points at his wrist.
I kiss him one last time before he leaves to find Max and go to their seats. Before I can step closer to the stage though, I get stopped by Ally.
Her face is stern, “I need to talk to you after the show, about Lando.”
I frown, immediately, scared of what she has to say. But her face goes soft, “I think you’re right, you should go public. You’re sickeningly in love and if that’s what you want…” I wrap my arms around her so tightly that she has to pry me off.
“I love you!” I scream so loud that even the crowd can hear me.
“Yeah yeah, say it with a raise.” she finally cracks a smile and squeezes my arm, “Go kill it out there.”
⋆༺
I’m sweating by the time the show is over. I can still hear the crowd screaming when I walk off the stage, the same grin I started with, still plastered on my face.
I scream when I see Lando. I could see him watching me the whole performance and I’ve never been so happy.
“Hey, you did insane!” Max is first to talk as Lando hugs me again.
I let out a breathy laugh as Lando kisses my cheek, “Thank you, Max!”
“Lando is so lucky to have someone so cool because it really evens out his weirdness.” Lando eyes Max who pulls up his hands in defense and wanders away.
Lando kisses me again, “You did… I can’t even explain it! You fit so well on stage and I was singing every lyric!”
I raise a brow, “You know every lyric?”
He nods enthusiastically, “Me and everyone in my garage! I play nothing else before a race.” I shake my head, running my hands through his curls, “But you seem extra happy… is it because i’m here?”
I roll my eyes even though he’s right, “I have some news.”
His jaw drops when I tell him we’re going public. He doesn’t even consult his PR people before posting the pictures.

“Live Wire”
Thursday.
Rejoining the training sessions was… something.
It felt strange, like stepping into a role that was made for you, if only you were better.
You knew (or at least everyone told you) that you were a part of this team, that you were once strong and capable. But now you couldn’t recall why or how.
The familiar scent of the training facility, the clang of metal, the faint buzz of conversation from otherworldly superheroes— it felt like a stage, and you were just an actor.
Every step forward felt like the foundation beneath you would crumble any second. The memories of missions and battles shared with these people were just another fog you couldn’t seem to see through.
The visits from your teammates, your friends, were nice. They just didn’t help.
The memories weren't coming back, so they were never gonna help.
But you weren’t here to dwell on the gaps in your mind— you were here to train and fight.
Bucky and Clint took the lead in helping you regain your strength, your muscle memory, and your instincts. They started with the basics: hand-to-hand combat, endurance sessions, and weapons training.
I should be able to do this with my eyes closed, you told yourself.
The reality was far more frustrating.
You found yourself stumbling over things that should come naturally. A punch that should have landed easily got lost in the air. A knife that once felt like an extension of your arm now felt slippery in your grip.
You missed, you faltered.
Each time you failed, a small voice in the back of your mind whispered: You’re not the hero you used to be. You are not who they say you were.
Every mistake seemed to put a distance between who you were and who you are now. You wanted to scream, to lash out, to demand answers from your fractured memory. But no matter how hard you pushed yourself, the pieces never came back together.
And yet, Bucky was patient.
You weren’t blind to the soft and protective looks he gave you.
“You’re doing great,” he said after a particularly gruelling session. He handed you a towel as you sat on the bench, panting in short breaths and dripping with sweat.
Your brows furrowed. “I missed half my shots, Buck. That’s not great.”
He crouched down in front of you, holding your hand in ressurance. “It’s only your first day.”
Friday.
The second day felt a little less foreign, though the frustration was still there. You walked into the training room with muscles sore from yesterday’s efforts, but there was a quiet determination there now.
Clint was already there, arms crossed after you took a short water break. He gave you a small, reassuring nod. “Ready for round two?” he asked, his voice warm.
You nodded.
The drill began, and while you still missed more than you hit, something felt different today. You were far from perfect, but every punch and every kick felt a little sharper.
Wednesday.
It wasn’t long until you began to see real progress. The hits landed more frequently, your stance more grounded, your reflexes sharper.
This morning, during an intense sparring session, you felt everything click into place. The sound of fists meeting flesh, the heavy breaths, the rhythm of footwork— all of it felt like a dance you once knew all the steps to.
Then it happened.
With a swift motion, you knocked Bucky off balance. His eyes widened briefly in surprise as he stumbled back, hitting the mat with a soft thud.
For a moment, you stared at him, stunned, your hands still raised in a defensive position.
“Did I just—”
Bucky looked up at you, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips. It was a rare sight of pure joy that made your heart skip. “You did,” he chuckled, brushing himself off as he stood.
A wide grin spread across your face, the rush of adrenaline making your heart race.
You had not believed Clint when he said muscle memory would kick in eventually, but now you might.
Friday.
Over the week, you started throwing yourself deeper into training. At times, it bordered on obsession. The confusion, the gaps in your memory, they hurt in a way you couldn’t quite explain, so you drowned yourself in the physical pain of training to distract yourself.
Working with Rhodey and Bruce became your daily escape.
Together, they taught you new tactics and strategies, methods that felt both familiar and foreign at the same time.
They were cautious at first, as if handling fragile glass. But when you kept pushing, they began to push back, giving you a challenge they knew you were ready for.
You noticed the shift in their eyes— recognition, even respect.
Each combat session left you drenched in sweat and aching everywhere, but there was a satisfaction in the exhaustion.
It gave you purpose.
Monday.
After a particularly gruelling training session, you collapsed onto the edge of the mat. Sweat dripped from your forehead as you tried to catch your breath. Every muscle in your body welt like it was on fire, reminding you just how much work it took to push past the limits of your body and mind.
Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Rhodey heading your way. With a half smile, he tossed a towel to you.
"You're starting to look like the old you," he teased encouragingly.
You smiled softly, wiping the sweat from your face. "I don’t feel like her yet," you admitted.
It was true. The person you once were seemed so distant, like a ghost you couldn’t quite reach. “I don't think I ever will.” You said. “Not entirely.”
Rhodey sat down beside you, leaning forward. He rested his elbows on his knees.
"You don’t have to be," he said, "If anything, you’re better."
Better. Could that really be true?
Friday.
You were in the middle of a heated sparring session with Yelena. Like always, she wasn’t going easy on you. Her precise movements kept you on your toes. She pushed you to your limits, and that was exactly what you needed.
Every dodge, every counterattack she made was technically perfect, and you had to stay extra focused just to keep up.
She ducked under one of your punches, twisting her body smoothly as she lashed out with a quick kick aimed at your ribs. But this time, you saw it coming.
You blocked the strike with your arm, feeling the force of the impact reverberate in your bones. Without hesitation, you swept low, catching Yelena off-guard. Her feet left the ground as she fell hard onto the mat.
For a second, she stared up at you in surprise.
Then, she broke into laughter.
“Maybe you are back,” she said between chuckles, the happiest you’ve seen her since you returned back to training.
You couldn’t help but smile as you reached down to offer her a hand. "Maybe," you said, pulling her to her feet.
She was beaming at you.
She was proud of you.
Yelena dusted herself off. “You used to do that move all the time,” she said absentmindedly. “It always caught me off guard.”
You tried to search for the memory she described, but there was only emptiness where it should have been.
Your smile faltered. “I… I don’t remember that,” you admitted quietly.
Yelena’s eyebrows softened.
“Look,” Yelena said, nudging your shoulder lightly. “I’m not going to get all sentimental on you, but you’re still kicking my ass. That’s a good sign.”
You managed a small laugh, shaking your head. “I guess so.”
She smiled, but it wasn’t just a teasing grin this time— it was softer, more understanding. “Besides, who needs the old stuff when we can make better memories?”
Her optimism was contagious. You found yourself nodding, though the ache in your chest hadn’t entirely disappeared.
Yelena glanced at you. “What do you say we grab some lunch? I can remind you of all the stories you’ve conveniently forgotten.”
You laughed, the sound coming easier now. “I’m in.”
Lunch with Yelena started off light and easy. You both sat in a small diner, the kind of place with cosy booths and mismatched mugs. For the first time in a while, you felt a little more relaxed. The sparring session had left you tired, but pleasantly so.
“So, do you remember the time I convinced you to try those disgusting energy bars Natasha used to swear by?” Yelena started, a sly grin spreading across her face as she picked at her food. “You gagged so hard you nearly threw up.”
You blinked, trying to dig into a memory again, but it came up blank. “I… can’t say I do,” you said with an apologetic shrug, though her laughter made you smile, despite the emptiness.
“It’s fine,” Yelena waved it off. “Just trust me, you looked ridiculous.” Her grin widened, enjoying the memory enough for both of you.
Yelena launched into a couple more stories, trying to paint you vivid pictures of missions and moments that felt so far away. You could hear the fondness in her voice as she spoke, you could see the gleam in her eyes when she talked about how you used to bicker with her over ridiculous things, like the right way to disarm someone or who was faster at sneaking through security. Of course she claimed she was always right.
It made you feel… connected, even if the memories were missing. It gave you hope that maybe, you could rebuild these relationships from the ground up.
Just as you started to feel more settled, Yelena’s tone shifted ever so slightly. She leaned back, her voice casual.
“So,” she began slowly, “how’s it going with Bucky? I heard you’re still staying with him.”
It seemed to come out of nowhere.
You blinked, momentarily thrown by the sudden shift in conversation. Brushing it off as bluntness, you quickly recovered.
The warmth in your voice was unmistakable. “He’s been incredible.”
Yelena raised an eyebrow, her fork pausing mid-air. “Incredible?”
There was something about her tone—something you couldn’t quite place—but you didn’t think too much of it. Instead, you nodded, your mind drifting back to Bucky.
“He’s sweet,” you continued, a soft smile playing on your lips. “Caring.” You hesitated, trying to find the right words. “I don’t think I’d be managing as well as I have without him.”
Yelena’s gaze didn’t move. If anything, her eyes seemed to narrow slightly.
“Interesting,” she murmured, more to herself than to you.
You didn’t catch the shift in her demeanour, too lost in your own thoughts about Bucky. But Yelena’s mind was racing, almost as quickly as her heart.
She knew Bucky well.
She had seen him around you before your memory loss, had seen the way he’d acted toward you— distant, cold, even cruel at times.
Bucky had always been in love with you; that had always been obvious to Yelena. But he had never let himself get close to you. He didn’t think he deserved you, didn’t think he was worthy of anything or anyone good in his life.
Yelena had watched as he pushed you away time and time again, putting up walls whenever you got too close. She’d seen the way he kept you out, how he said things that were hurtful things that had made you question whether he even liked you at all.
Yelena remembered that night with perfect clarity.
It had been the night before everything changed— before the mission that took your memories.
She could still see the way you looked when you knocked on her apartment door that night— tired, heartbroken. Your knock had been soft, hesitant, like you didn’t really want to be there but had nowhere else to go.
Yelena had opened the door to find you standing there, looking like a shell of yourself.
“He said he didn’t want my company.” Your voice had been shaky, small, barely above a whisper. “Bucky said he felt like he couldn’t breathe around me.”
Yelena had rolled her eyes, more out of frustration with Bucky than anything else.
“Boys,” she had muttered under her breath, motioning for you to come inside, not knowing then that this was the last time she would see you like this—the last time you’d even remember the pain he had caused.
You had slumped down onto her couch, hands trembling slightly as you wiped your eyes, trying to keep the tears from falling.
She had seen this pattern before.
Bucky pushed you away, lashed out, cutting himself off from you just when you were trying to get close.
“I don’t know why he does this,” you had said, your voice cracking. “All I do is try. All I ever do is fucking try, and he just… he just hates me. I just want him to at least tolerate me. We work together, don't we?”
That had gotten to Yelena the most—that wounded look in your eyes, the disbelief in your voice.
You had slumped back further into the couch. “I swear,” you had muttered that day, voice thick with exhaustion and anger. “I’m not gonna fucking try anymore. I’m done.”
Yelena hadn’t known what to say back then. Part of her had wanted to tell you to forget about him, to let Bucky sort out his own mess, but she’d known you too well. She’d seen the way you looked at him—the way you cared deeply, despite everything.
She had settled for sitting beside you in silence.
She had never imagined that the next day, everything would spiral out of control—that the mission you went on would end with you in a hospital bed, your mind wiped clean of so much of what made you you.
And now, watching you across the table, smiling so easily as if Bucky had always been this kind version of himself, Yelena felt that same frustration.
She wanted to tell you what he’d done, how he had pushed you away—hurt you. But looking at you now, seeing the way you spoke about him with admiration, Yelena bit her tongue. She couldn’t destroy that peace for you.
Not yet.
But what is this?
Bucky was suddenly different? You were telling her that he was sweet and caring? That he was doting on you? It didn’t make sense. Why was Bucky suddenly so attentive, so affectionate? What changed?
Now that you didn’t remember, why was he this perfect version of himself, the one you had always wanted him to be?
Yelena couldn’t shake the nagging feeling that something wasn’t right.
Was Bucky taking advantage of the fact that you couldn’t remember the way he’d treated you before?
Yelena took a deep breath. She offered you a small, tight smile, masking the anger bubbling beneath her skin.
She would confront Bucky eventually, but she would give him time to come clean on his own.
But she wouldn’t let him rewrite the past just because you couldn’t remember it.
Not when it was her best friend.
Not when it was you.
-to be continued…

Enhypen: The type of...
Tumblr media
☆ enhypen masterlist ☆ ...partner ☆ requested: no ☆ warning(s): stage names are used, silent treatment is given ☆ genre: fluff, slight angst ☆ requests are open!
៚ Heeseung
to get jealous very easily
to leave you sticky notes in the bathroom for you to read when you wake up
It had started years ago, when the two of you had just started dating. The very first night he had slept over, he had to leave early the next morning. So before he left, he wrote you a little note. Telling you how much he cared for you and how much he appreciated you. When you had gotten up that morning, you saw the note. You absolutely loved it. When he had gotten home that night, you tackled him, peppering him in kissed all over his face. "What's all this about? Not that I don't love it." You explained it all to him. His whole face lit up, hearing you gush about how much you loved it was enough to get him to do it everyday, just to see you smile.
៚ Jay
to spoil you constantly!
to appreciate when you do little things for him.
You had been wanting those rings since the first day you laid your eyes on them. They were beautiful but you could not get yourself to justify the price. There was no way in hell you were going to be buying them. But every time you walked past that store, you saw them in the window, hoping one day you would save enough to get them. Jay had known you'd been dreaming about the day you'd have them. So one day, after you had come home from work, he had surprised you with them. "You deserved them. You'd been wanting them forever so, I got them for you."
៚ Jake
to get pouty when he doesn't get his way
that knows how to push your buttons
You had a busy day today. Your social battery was running pretty close to empty. So to say you were feeling a little over stimulated was an understatement. As soon as Jake had heard the front door open, he was right there, excited to see you home. "Did you miss me today?" he asked right away, you told him yes. After answering one question, they just kept coming. Things like "want to watch a movie?", "who's turn is it to cook tonight?", "do you want to go to target right now with me?" You just needed a minute to yourself. Just to recharge a little bit. When you told him this, he was a little hurt and you could see it on his face. You felt so incredibly guilty about it. You apologized and explained in a nicer way of how you needed space for a bit to charge up. He nodded his head understanding you completely, "After your done...can we watch a movie together?" You smiled, ruffling his hair, "Of course we can."
៚ Sunghoon
to need to have breakfast, lunch or dinner with you everyday. even if it's on facetime and he's on the other side of the world.
to get upset if you don't take his call
He had been gone for a little less than a week. He was away for something for work. You had been left at home due to not being able to take those days off from work. And boy, oh, boy, how he missed you so. He would call you every day during his lunch time and your dinner time. This was the way you both bonded. "How was your day? Tell me what happened." You asked, taking a bite of the plate of food in front of you. "Well, Jay..." He started yapping about every little detail of his day. You really loved this time.
៚ Sunoo
to get pouty when he isn't getting the attention he wants
he's your passenger princess
You had been super busy with work. You didn't have much time with anything else. Things were getting a bit hectic lately. Sunwoo began to feel a little neglected about you not giving him attention lately. So, he sat down in your office with you and began to whine about how he was feeling as he played with your hair. You turned around, taking his face in your hands, "I'm sorry." You apologized, "Tell you what, I'll stop for today and we can go have a picnic out in the field today." You shut down your computer to prove you were serious and he immediately lit up and was super excited.
៚ Jungwon
to spoil you rotten, too
cuddling every night before bed is an absolute must for him.
The air conditioning had broken in your shared house. It had been out for a few days. The heat was getting to be out of control. You didn't want to even sleep under the blankets tonight it was so hot. Jungwon on the other hand didn't seem to mind all that much because he was right there clinging to you like a koala. It was much too hot for that and you told him so. He didn't take it too well and became really pouty. You decided to compromise and hold his hand for the night instead, he seemed to be happy with that because next thing you knew he was out like a light.
៚ Ni-Ki
loves to give you a hard time about literally anything you do
but at the same time gets upset when you don't say you love him back
He hadn't spoken to you since yesterday night before bed. He was definitely upset with you about something. You could not figure it out though. Initially, you thought you'd forgotten about a date you had set but you hadn't. Maybe you forgot your anniversary? No, that wasn't for a few more months...And then it clicked. You forgot to tell him you loved him before bed. You smiled, cuddling into him and telling him how much you loved him. "Oh so you figured it out?" you nodded, giving him puppy dog eyes, fully knowing he'd be buttered up by it and take the apology. "Don't forget again."

cold kisses
part 0.16. "LET ME HOLD ONTO YOU, PLEASE"
PLAYING FROM KODZUKEN'S STREAM . . . count contessa by azealia banks & lone
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
he’s barely seen her in the past few days. he’s not complaining. in fact, he’s being rather dramatic putting it like that. she’s been coming home every day around 10 at night, trying to muffle the loud sighs she’ll let out as she closes the door behind her. she’ll shuffle around, clean herself up, and then always ends up falling onto his bed, where he’s already lying, switch in hands.
“you should come up here,” he always says, because half of her body is currently hanging off the very end of the mattress.
she’ll then whine at him, saying something about how much effort it is to move another inch so he’ll put down his switch and help her clamber up to lay next to him. while she’s tucked in under his comforter, he’s slouched against the wall behind him, not quite lying down nor sitting up. she wants to be close to him and that’s not a problem; he’ll put an arm around her, resting it on her shoulder so that she’s hugged close while he can keep playing his switch. or, he’ll decide it’s time to sleep as well and run a hand through her hair until they’ve both fallen asleep.
however, that all happens in around two hours at the very end of the day, and other than that, he doesn’t get to see her. he’s gotten used to her convoluted directions (“take a left, then a right, then another right, oh and that right is actually down a pretty long hallway, keep going straight, take a left, then you’ll see a really narrow hallway, it looks a little sketchy but go through it…”) leading him around buildings and past security so that he can visit her in the middle of the day while other events are going on but it’s never for long.
the point is, he misses her. a lot. but today is her day. yesterday was the short program, they’d ended in second place. she’d come home that day with anxiety eating away at her. she'd closed the door softly behind her, wandered down the hall, seen him, and then immediately started shaking. they had sat on the couch for at least an hour, him holding her hands tightly, telling her to focus on the pressure he was pressing into them and breathing with her. it was all sobs and cracked whispers of how worried she was of disappointing people, how worried she was about the twist.
he couldn’t pretend he knew how difficult the twist was, or that he knew what to say. he knew not to say it would be alright. he knew it was their most difficult move; she always came home with a bright smile on her face whenever practicing the move had gone well. and then two days ago it hadn’t. atsumu had dropped her and it hadn’t been a big confidence booster for either of them. getting second place was only more of a detriment. he didn’t say anything about it, because he knew that wasn’t what she wanted. he didn’t know enough to say anything about their twist, but he knew what second place felt like.
he knew from volleyball tournaments how much it hurt to almost be there. to win game after game, ignoring thoughts of failure no matter how anxious or humble a person might be, because they needed to focus on moving forward. he knew what it was like to be on a team, to worry about holding others back, and he knew what it felt like to stand there on a silent stage after performing a sport in front of thousands of people and be almost good enough, but not good enough.
that night he had wiped away her tears and kissed her, saying, “focus on tomorrow, not what others will think, not what’s already happened. it doesn't matter what other people think, and you can only control yourself. tomorrow will be great. you and miya will be great, and i’ll be there for you no matter what happens.”
she’d given him the biggest pout ever at his words, looking up at him with glassy eyes, “can i have that good luck kiss now, then?”
“anything you want,” he’d responded, kissing her and muffling her huff of laughter.
“you can’t ask me to kiss you and then laugh in my face,” he had said when he pulled away, staying close enough that their noses bumped into each other.
she’d continued laughing before trying to answer him, “i’m sorry, i’m not laughing at you." she stopped when he wiped away a stray tear that had escaped her eyes, "i was just thinking about how crazy it must have been for me to come home and then immediately start hyperventilating and ranting to you and then turn around and ask for a kiss.”
“i told you not to worry about things like that, i’ll love you no matter what. i've just been worried. nothing else,” he sighed, resting his forehead against hers.
her hands reached up to run through his hair, holding the sides of his head, “i love you, kenma. thank you for listening. i'll need another kiss tomorrow if I'm gonna do this.”
“i’ll give you as many as you want,” he’d replied.
now he was standing right by the edge of the ice rink. y/n and ukai had both pulled strings and forced him into a seat up close to the rink, right next to her coach. he wasn’t sure how to feel, sitting there feeling like an uneducated commoner amongst famous people who actually knew the name of every trick going on, but he stayed there for her. when she came out onto the ice, her eyes scanned the crowd, immediately finding him and blowing a kiss towards him.
he smiled back, eyes flicking up to the screen hanging above in the middle of the rink, displaying atsumu and her skating towards the center of the rink, hand in hand. the applause that erupted at their entrance only served to make his heart beat faster. he’d given her an entire speech about remaining calm yesterday and today, but he felt like he was about to throw up. he’d witnessed a skating pair fall just before their performance and he and ukai had both simultaneously sat down, hands in their heads and eyes burning like they were on the verge of tears.
he tried to clap along with the crowd, trying not to overthink how big of a crowd was forming in this stadium. he knew atsumu and y/n had been popular, but not even the cold mist from the ice rink could help him regulate his temperature or panic.
and if he felt this way, he couldn’t imagine how she felt. she and atsumu were both in each other arms, and he could see the way both of their shoulders rose before falling together, trying to calm each other down. he had been better about overthinking them being so close to each other now. atsumu seemed to respect her boundaries more than before and kenma knew that at the end of the day, he’d be the one kissing her, not him.
the blood pounding in his ears was so loud he barely realized they were starting. their song had grown familiar to him, and it helped him feel the slightest bit calmer. the pair started apart, spinning in time with one another, before coming back together and skating backwards, picking up speed as they glided past him and then across the center of the rink.
he held his breath watching their first real move, watching her position herself in front of atsumu, his hands on her waist before he lifted her and threw her forwards. he heard ukai let out a breath with him as she landed.
ukai had drilled many terms into his head, and they came to mind without him having to think about it. they skated past him again, grabbing each others hands and facing each other before y/n arched farther and farther down. that was a death spiral, he could remember that one easily. the name and actual position had fascinated him, and he watched closely, hands pulling at the fabric of his pants.
“fuck,” ukai cursed as they slowly stood back up, atsumu pushing her out with their hands bridged above.
kenma immediately threw a look his way, he hadn’t noticed anything wrong. “what happened?” he asked, his breath feeling short again.
“they just–they got up too fast,” ukai pinched the bridge of his nose, “it won’t affect them much, but i know they’re both thinking of it and–” he covered his face with his hands, knees bouncing.
“oh, the twist is soon,” kenma finished for him, looking forward again.
“kenma,” ukai’s voice immediately made him look back again, frowning in confusion.
“let me hold onto you for this, please, i might have a heart attack if this goes wrong,” ukai was looking at him with the widest bloodshot eyes he’d ever seen, rivaling how bad he could look after a few consecutive nights without sleep, and kenma couldn’t even blame him.
“oh, yeah. go for it. whatever you need,” he answered as nonchalantly as he could, unsure of what to do but offer himself to the older man.
there were two hands on his shoulders, holding him firmly as they both watched, frozen in place as they watched the two skaters.
there atsumu’s hands went on her again, her own hands moving to hold onto his wrists as he lifted her up.
ukai was murmuring a prayer of pleas and “oh my god”s next to him and kenma joined him in his head.
his eyes were burning from how long he’d kept them open, not wanting to blink for even a fraction of a second. watching y/n perform on the ice in front of millions of people total, in person and through screens, only added to all the emotions he felt. if it wasn't from how dry his eyes were, he could probably start crying from how he felt. he was so proud of her. no matter what she won today, she was perfect in his head.
when atsumu caught her again flawlessly, slowly letting her back down as they circled the rink, facing each other. he felt the goosebumps run across his skin as the entire crowd roared.
ukai and him had both stood up screaming, and ukai was shaking him violently as kenma ended up grabbing back onto him.
they were both panting as they tried to calm back down and the rest of the performance seemed a blur trying to remember it. in the moment, he had been completely present. he knew he had screamed a lot–at almost every movement they did after that twist; adrenaline had completely taken over any rationalization in his head. when atsumu and y/n ended back in the middle of the rink, they were clutching each other, both shaking with sobs.
ukai next to him had a few tears rolling down his face and he was sure he did, too.
the second after their song ended was silent before the stadium was filled with applause once more. groups of spectators stood up one by one before everyone was on their feet. the skaters took their turns bowing before bowing together, twirling each other around a few times.
then he realized he hadn’t even looked up at their scoring and she almost fell to her knees, too, before her partner caught her, realizing what they had won.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“hey,” atsumu’s giving her a wide grin when she steps out of the locker room, “you did great.”
she returns his smile, relaxing her shoulders at his words, “you did too! i felt so relieved after that twist, but ukai’s definitely chewing us out for that spiral later.”
“oh definitely, i could already hear him in my head the moment i realized we stood up too fast,” he uncrosses his arm as he steps away from the wall he’s been leaning on. “so,” he begins, tilting his head slightly down to look at her as he comes to his full height.
“so?” by herself in the locker room, she was fully ready to break his heart if he asked about partnering again next year, but being alone with him in person made some of that confidence die down.
“you’re choosing him over me?” she’s already opening her mouth to respond before she freezes, processing what he really asked.
“what? what are you talking about?” she looks at him, trying to read his face.
“i just thought…maybe you’d say something. especially after that performance, you’d pick me over him,” he’s holding her gaze, revealing nothing in his eyes about what he’s feeling.
“kenma? you thought i was going to break up with him for you?” she backs up a little, trying to put distance between them.
but he follows after her, maintaining the proximity, “yeah. i mean, especially after that fight you guys had. you’re really gonna stay with a guy who hides behind a screen all day? and makes you feel shitty for just hanging around another guy he barely knows?–"
"what? how did you even know about that?” she cuts him off.
“because i knew what i was doing, obviously, taking you out somewhere like that,” he retorts, cornering her into a wall.
“he got upset because he knew you were trying to play him. you’re the one that doesn’t know him. he doesn’t hide behind a screen, and i’m sorry if i gave you the wrong impression. i thought that you were actually trying to be a good person,” she holds her ground, eyes darting ever so often to the hallway to her left, hoping someone might appear.
she sees his fists clench and then relax, “i….i was trying. i am a good person. i tried to be patient and nice, and i backed off because i care about you. i thought i could win you over and show you how good i am. and we’re perfect for each other. the whole world thinks so. did you see the crowd we had? the way they all stood up at the end? kenma’s just someone who manipulates money out of others, but look at us, we bring actual enjoyment to other people.”
that's the last thing he says before she loses her control. his head has been sharply turned to the side and his skin quickly turns red from the hand she slaps across it, and she doesn’t feel bad about it. “don’t you dare fucking talk about him like that. i keep fucking telling you that you don’t know who he is. he’s not a manipulator like you, i mean, seriously. can you step down from your self-appointed podium for one second and listen to the words coming out of your own mouth? you just told me you tried to manipulate me into breaking up with my boyfriend to date you after you tried to make him jealous. you’re full of bullshit, miya. what he does is just as honest and good as what we do. and i’m never working with you again. i don’t give a fuck if you’re little team can prevent me from ever going to the olympics again. do whatever makes you feel better about how pathetic you are. it doesn't matter to me."
she shoves off the arm he had pressed to the wall next to her, walking away. she turns the corner sharply, trying to put as much distance between her and atsumu.
she lets out a breath immediately, feeling a weight lift off her chest before she runs into someone. “oh, sorry–" her voice dies out when she realizes who it is, exclaiming as she pulls him into a hug.
kenma hugs her back for a second before unwinding her arms from him, “y/n," he's holdings her wrists in his hands, eyes scanning her face for anything wrong, "you didn’t answer any of my texts, is everything okay?” she can’t help the smile that breaks across her face before she wriggles her hands out of his, grabbing hold of his face to pull him in for a kiss.
he freezes before kissing her back, holding her closer with a hand pressed against the back of her head but she can feel how stiff he still is with worry.
when they break apart she sighs, resting her head on his shoulder, turning to face his neck and place a kiss on it. “i’m great, kenma. don’t worry,” his hands move to wrap around her waist, pulling her in closer when he’s sure she’s okay. “i just slapped atsumu across the face and gave him an entire speech about how much i love you to his face, you just missed it.”
“damn,” she feels his chest expand as he takes in a deep breath before sighing. “now i wish i hadn't waited so long. i had my phone ready and everything, i was pretty sure i was gonna turn the corner and see you beating his ass.”
"i wish you came sooner too,” she nuzzles her nose against his shoulder before pulling back to look at him face to face, “i would've treasured that video forever, but it's okay. i also may have just ended my career, but we’ll find out about that later.”
he freezes again in surprise at her last comment but she continues, “if it is, we'll find a way, but i think it’ll be fine. maybe atsumu will finally learn his lesson.”
he’s silent for a moment before he decides what to say, “if you say so.”
she can’t help the laugh that spills out of her mouth at his response before it goes quiet, the both of them still looking into each others eyes.
“you know i’m going to ask you what happened later, right?” he gives her a small, teasing smile.
“i do. and i’ll tell you, but right now i’m just focused on you,” she answers with a shrug, wrapping her arms around his neck.
“wanna know something else?” he asks.
“what is it?” she tilts her head.
“your lips are still cold from the ice rink.”
“are they now?”
“ i could never forget the feeling. but maybe you should let me kiss you one more time. just to make sure.”

COUNT CONTESSA!!! if you were not apart of my two day freakout over what song atsumu and y/n would actually perform to it was what won the poll i made which is all thanks to the music mastermind @eggyrocks
THANK YOU SO MUCH TO @kitnootkat FOR BEING MY PERSON TO GO TO WITH ICE SKATING QUESTIONS THIS CHAPTER WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE W/O YOU and also my 50 wikipedia tabs that have been opened over the course of writing this chapter
also the u.s. figure skating account i fr just copied whatever posts they had
thank u nathan chen for all the work u put in just for a random haikyuu fanfic author to plaster oikawa tooru's name over today (HE'S REALLY GOOD AND HIS PERFORMANCE GAVE ME GOOSEBUMPS I MEAN NO DISRESPECT)
i also had no idea the quad axel was like the hardest move ever i FR JUST COPIED THAT FROM A U.S. FIGURE SKATING POST AND THEN FOUND THAT OUT LATER ON GOOGLE SO I PROMISE I DID NOT JUST PULL A WATTPAD AND BE LIKE "oh what is the hardest thing someone could ever do teehee and let me have my mary sue character do it with no flaws whatsoever"
EPILOGUE IS NEXT!!!
i feel like the quality of the written portions really went 📈📈📉📉📉📈📉📉📉📉📉📈📉 i am sorry
also i still had no idea what i'm writing and i am so sorry to any ice skater offended by what they just read and i hope skipped over my horrible descriptions and lack of knowledge writing
that's why this chapter took so long because i was so confused trying to understand the scoring system and what it looks like to the audience and skaters but i really really tried i promise
ukai and kenma were basically holding onto each other the entire time screaming and shaking the other person at every move atsumu and y/n did
ukai is a very proud father and 100% approves of kenma
when y/n wouldn't respond to kenma's texts bc she was busy bitch slapping atsumu kenma was like "i'm going to go find y/n"
ukai did not bat an eye he just pointed in some direction and was like "yeah go that way and turn right. go get your girlfriend. and go get married or something. if security tries to stop you tell them ukai sent you"
that sounds so ominous LMAOOO
in the suna-iwa dorm they were planning to have a civilized, peaceful night watching the olympics together as they cheered on y/n but then got a knock on their door
oikawa got to go and see y/n's performance in person but the rest of them just came over to the suna-iwa dorm to watch y/n together
it would be silent besides the tv in the dorm and then hinata and noya would lead one of those wii golf reactions to everything going on
they'd see yn position herself in front of atsumu before he would lift her so they'd be like "ohhhh" and then he'd throw her and they'd cheer
hinata would also sometimes just death grip kageyama's wrist (holding a paper bag) because he thought he was literally about throw up
atsumu definitely just stood facing the wall where y/n had just been for at least a good 10 minutes in silence before walking down a hallway he had never been down to think about his life choices
then proceeded to call y/n a bitch when a news reporter found him
honestly that did not go well for him
kenma and atsumu x yn fans were not very happy with him
i'm going to stop yapping now
i hope u enjoyed this chapter!! thank u for reading cold kisses <3

Late-Night Cravings
Leon S Kennedy x Pregnant! Reader
Words: 1.2K Warnings: Pregnancy, Fluff, Hormones, Weird Pregnancy Cravings (I had to google them lol) Summary: Leon begins to leave work to come home and gets a call from his wife with her latest cravings-
Something random I thought about instead of my job...hope you enjoy! My requests are open ~ Mads <3
Masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Leon’s phone vibrated in his pocket as he walked through his office building. It was out of hours, he probably stayed a lot longer as he wanted to get everything done before his wife at home went into labour. He sighed loudly as he had an armful of reports trying to fiddle in his pocket for the device, balancing his load to prop the phone to his ear. “Agent Kennedy” he grumbled through the speaker, his tone professional and harsh as he expected it to be someone calling him to try and get him to go on a mission. Except it was his lovely wife, innocent asking him for a midnight snack request, he silently cursed himself for not looking at the caller ID. “Oh, I’m sorry I can call you later”
Crap you had your tiny voice on, the one that he knew meant you were upset. “No honey it's okay, I thought you were someone else” he tried to reason, his heart thumping at the silence that followed. “I just wanted to see when you were coming back, we miss you”
He loved that, we, the warmth that filled his body at the fact you had allowed him to experience this part of life. His mind always told him that he didn’t deserve it, all the innocent people that he had watched die as he got to live his life. “I’m just leaving the office now love, Send me a text if you want me to get anything,” He said making sure his voice was a lot chirpier. “Ooh, I’ve been thinking of this new thing we can try…I feel like it will be really good today” you rambled. Leon chuckled, silently cringing at the idea of trying one of the weird cravings you had gotten now you were in the later stages of your pregnancy. “Send me a list as we will try it when I get in love” he said. He could hear your giggle through the speaker, he was sure to have a heart attack at how cute you were being. You both said your goodbyes and he left the office with a spring in his step eager to please his wife.
You sat curled on the sofa, your stomach ballooning in front of you with your snacks balanced on top. You chuckled at the small kicks protruding from there. “Practicing your backflips like your dad” you joked, you hand rubbing the bump soothingly. You smiled at the sound of the front door opening “speak of the devil” you muttered under your breath. Leon’s voice echoing around the home as he greeted you. Leon smiled at the sight of you in his shirt, cosy in the corner. He leant down giving you a kiss and another for your stomach. “How are you both” he smiled placing the shopping bag on the coffee table as he kneeled on the floor to be at your height. “This one is taking after their and practing their backflips and I am eager for my snacks” you giggled. He laughed, kissing your stomach once again, “You’ll have to help me prepare this one love, I don’t want to get it wrong like I did last time”
You playfully groaned, shifting your weight to be able to get up. “God, do you want me to feed it to you as well?”
“That would be so kind, you know I had to go all the way to the store to get it and everything” he teased, his arms wrapping around you as he helped you stand. You hugged him tightly, holding him close for just a second. “I love you so much” he whispered into your hair, his scent filled your nose as he brought you closer; squeezing you as if you weren’t even real. “I love you too” you replied, pulling him into a kiss. You both began to get lost in the passion of the kiss, tongues soon battling for dominance as he savoured the taste of you. It wasn’t until a small kick brought you back to your current task, trying to get Leon to try your latest craving. “I think you’ll like this one,” you said, dragging him into the kitchen ignoring his laugh at your waddle.
He watched you crush up the bag of flaming hot Doritos in the bag he swore he could see your mouth watering at the sight. “Can I have the yoghurt please?” you asked him so innocently, a large smile grew on his lips as he passed you the item, watching as you methodically tried to figure out how to mix the two. “Do you want a bowl?” he asked already moving to get you one from the cupboard. “Oh yes! Good thinking”  God you were so cute He tried not to gag at the sight of you mixing the two different textures before you scooped a large spoonful and brought it to your lips. You moaned as the flavours hit your tongue acting as if it was the best thing you had ever tasted. “This hit the spot, it might be my new favourite. Thank you so much” you said, giving him a hug and a kiss on the cheek before going back to your snack. He prayed he had got away scot-free, hoping you had forgotten your plan on getting him to try it as he watched you waddle back to the living room clutching it tightly like someone was going to steal it from you.
The sound of him closing the crisp bag to prevent it from going stale caused you to turn around with a wide devilish grin on your face. “How could I almost forget you wanted to try it” you giggled walking towards him with the spoon outstretched. “I wouldn’t say I wanted to try it” he said begrudgingly taking the spoon from your grasp. The smell alone caused his nose to wrinkle, his eyes meeting yours pleading that you wouldn’t actually let him go through with this. However the way you were rocking back and forth on your feet waiting for his opinion like you did everytime this happened. “Leon you have eaten raw fish and eggs this can’t be worse than that” you teased. He just rolled his eyes, bring the spoon into his mouth and taking the whole thing. It wasn’t that it was bad, it was just the crunchy tecture of the doritos and then the fact the yogurt was strawberry flavour as opposed to greek or plain. Compared to all of your other cravings it wasn’t horrible. “It’s not bad” he said when he finally managed to swallow, “but its not good”
He watched your shoulders deflat the excitement leaving your body “you never like it” you spoke, your bottom lip jutting out slightly. “Think of it as a good thing, you know I wont eat it so you'll never run out”
You seemed pleased by that comment as he watched you attempt to run back to the living room and get situated back in your spot. He didn’t know what he did to deserve this, but he was glad he got this, that he got you. Forever thankful for you helping him escape from the dark place a few years back, giving him a new reason to continue the fight he had started when he was so young. As well as giving him a new reason to return home.

The patio door muffled the music coming from the inside, as you sat on a chair, drinking your beer. It was a happy night for everyone, the boys were going on tour and everyone celebrated as if it was the first time.
You obviously loved this for them, especially for Noah, your best friend who you met when he first came to Los Angeles all those years ago. But you couldn't help but feel a sting of sadness in your chest.
They took a long break and you got too used to having him around all the time. You went to the grocery store together, you went to the movies together, you ate together, and even if you told him you were picking up some pain medication at the drugstore, he voluntereed to drive you. You got used to the domesticity of it all.
But the news that they were preparing to go back on tour soon busted your bubble of happiness. Noah was excited, he missed being on stage and as much as he hated travelling, he loved what he did more. So you didn't have the heart to tell him how crushed you were.
They were leaving for the airport tomorrow and even though they should be resting for the long flight, they couldn't resist a last hoorah.
You were making your way back inside soon, as to not alarm anyone of your absence, but it was too late as you heard the sliding doors behind you open and close.
You smelled him before you saw him. His cologne always unmistakable to your senses.
"Hey, what are you doing here all by yourself?", he questioned, moving the chair that was beside you and sitting across from you instead.
"Just taking a breather. The smell of beer and weed a little overwhelming", you tried to smile to make your lie more believable. But you could tell he saw right through you.
"Imma take breather with you then", he sat back on the chair, taking a swig of his own beer.
After a couple of minutes, he couldn't take the silence anymore, and the thought of something bothering you and you choosing not to talk to him. You always talked to him.
"What's on your pretty little mind?", he finally voiced his concerns, resting his elbows on his knees and looking at you.
"Oh, it's nothing. It'll pass soon", you waived it off, hoping he would drop the subject.
"Share with me and it'll pass sooner". You cursed at the fact that he always knew what to say to you, talking to him always did help after all. You took a deep breath.
"It's just that...", you trailed off. You haven't cried about this yet, but now, with him in front of you for the last time, knowing it'll be months before you see him again, made tears well in your eyes. "I'm missing you already", you looked down at your lap, but he noticed the tear falling from your eyes and into your jeans.
"Hey", he scooted closer to you, grabbing your head in his hands, lifting your face to make you look at him. "I'll miss you terribly as well, but I'll be back before you even notice I'm gone", he tried to soothe you.
"I know I'm being dramatic. I guess I just got used to you being around all the time", he nodded in understanding.
"And I enjoyed letting you have me all to yourself. Can't even tell you how much I'm gonna miss our late night drives to McDonald's. And watching movies until 3am and passing out on the couch", you gave him a close lipped smile, it wasn't a full smile, but it was better than the tears.
"You promise you'll call? Even if the timezones are horrible and you'll wake me up in the middle of the night?", you already knew he would, but you needed to hear him say it.
"I promise. You're even gonna get sick of me from how much we're gonna talk", the thought was ridiculous.
"That's impossible, I'll never get sick of you", his thumbs were now softly caressing your cheeks, you looked into his eyes and saw something in them you've never seen - or noticed - before. You thought it was love, adoration and a little bit of longing. Yours were probably telling the same story.
He leaned in a little closer, his right thumb slipping from your cheek to rest on your lips, as you gave it a light kiss, making his head spin. Just as he was about to crash his lips on yours and claim the lips of the woman he always desired to make his, the door opened again and a drunk Folio made his way outside, making you part, startled.
"Nowwaahhh", he slurred. "They want you to make a speech or something, I don't know man, they want you to say something", he pointed inside.
He was completely unaware of the moment he just interrupted. Noah looked back at you but your face was understanding. You told him he could go, that you would be inside in a second. He hesitated before getting up from his chair, pulling him and Folio inside.
You both didn't have the chance to revisit this moment that night, and as you embraced and said goodbye the next morning, Noah promised himself he was making you his the moment he got back.
Tumblr media
It took you a while to adjust, but Noah made good on his promise, and you didn't mind one bit whenever he called you in the middle of the night. It just meant you were going to fall asleep again to the sound of his voice.
He sent you funny pictures, and videos from soundcheck, and gave you hotel room tours when you facetimed. Not to mention when he sent you pictures of his breakfast, lunch and dinner. The ache in your heart subsided a little, but nothing could've prepared you from what came next.
You weren't a chronically online person at all, but it was the weekend and you were lounging on your couch, scrolling through social media, as there was really nothing better to do. You follow some Bad Omens fan pages because you loved looking at the pictures and videos they posted from the shows. You also loved laughing at the ridiculous speculations that were thrown around from time to time. You even showed them to Noah, falling into a fit of giggles every time.
When you saw the picture, it was blurry because it was taken from far away, but you could never miss his silhouette. But what caught your attention was the figure beside him. You noticed the blonde hair going down to her back, and she was wearing a black dress and some heels. You read the caption:
Apparently Noah was seen leaving the show tonight with a girl?????
You considered being a part of the crew, but scratched that quickly. This was no work attire. And you knew comfortable clothes were a must when working on the road, especially with concerts. You scrolled thought the comments.
I heard someone said they were holding hands.
our boy is getting some tonightttt.
wow she's a lucky girl for sure.
You locked your phone, throwing it on the cushion beside you, taking a moment to register what you were feeling. You were jealous, that was obvious, but you felt a hint of betrayal and a little like you were led on.
You knew you had no right to feel like this. You thought back to the moment you both shared back at the party. He didn't kiss you, but you were sure he was going to. But again, you were being naive in thinking he was going away for months and not get any girls.
You wondered if he would call you tonight. If he would have the time. If he took that girl back to his hotel room, he would probably be busy. You tried to scratch that vision from your mind. Getting up from the couch and abandoning your phone there, you decided that some dinner would make you feel better.
Turns out he did call you that night. It was close to 1am and you were wide awake, not yet able to get the nagging thoughts out of your mind. You saw the phone ring and let it go to voicemail. He called again and you didn't pick up, again.
Instead, he sent you a text message.
Hi, beautiful. You're probably sleeping already, so I'll let you rest. I miss you and I'll talk to you tomorrow. Sleep tight ❤️
You wanted to cry. You felt guilty about not picking up the phone. Especially since you haven't missed a call since he went on tour weeks ago. But you needed some time to sort out your emotions. And hearing the sound of his voice would surely break you.
You logged out of all social media after this, not wanting to see anything anymore. You had to go back to thinking of Noah as just a friend or you would go crazy if you did otherwise.
You still talked to him everyday, trying your best to act your normal self. If he noticed something different, he didn't say anything. He never mentioned the girl either, but you bet he knew the pictures made their way to social media.
In the middle of your heartbreak, you did something you've never done before: you accepted to go on a date with someone from work. Jack was one of those people that everyone gushed about. He was handsome and kind, and everyone talked about how whoever ended up with him would be a lucky person.
You participated in the small talk at work and agreed with what they said, but you never imagined Jack as more than a co-worker. So one day, when he invited you to grab dinner with him, you could've told him you were busy or that you though it wasn't a good idea to go out with someone from work in a romantic setting. But you found yourself saying yes.
The dinner went great, the place he picked was beautiful, but you failed to feel the sparks and connection. You made excuses in your head, saying that the first date was supposed to be like that. You didn't know him on a personal level anyway.
So you kept going out with him. You felt terrible, because as good as this man was, it was impossible for you to feel and develop something else other than a friendship with him. You also kept comparing him to Noah and that wasn't fair.
You decided to tell him all of this over lunch one day. You kept apologising and telling him that if he never wanted to look at you again, you wouldn't blame him. But he assured you that you were ok, and told you that asking you out was a long shot anyway, that he was happy just being your friend. You felt like a weight was lifted from your shoulders. But you also thought that you couldn't stay hung up on Noah for the rest of your life. If he was able to go out with other people, you had to try to do the same.
A few days later, Noah told you on the phone that they were coming back this weekend - you knew, because you kept tabs on their schedule - and that they were throwing a welcome home party.
You asked him if you could bring someone and he could feel his heart drop to his stomach. He said yes, but his voice waivered and he stuttered a bit over his words, you question catching him off-guard. After this interaction, he kept blaming himself.
Obviously you would have someone. Other people would be idiots not to notice how great and amazing you were. He realized he was too late and it killed him inside.
The last couple of days on tour, he kept replaying the moment you both shared on the patio that night. He should've kissed you, should've told you how down bad in love he is with you. How he has been for years. But he missed his chance, and now he had to live with the fact that there was someone else making you happy.
The night of the party, you were buzzing with excitment. They had landed that morning, but were busy unpacking everything. So you and Noah agreed to see each other later at the party.
Your nerves were eating you alive. Your hair and makeup were ready and you had your outfit on, Jack arrived about fifteen minutes ago, but you invited him in, nedding to down a shot to take the edge off.
You had told him about Noah the night you invited him to the party and Jack actually showed himself to be a great friend.
"What if he brings that girl to the party?", you mused, your leg not able to stand still.
"From what you've told me, you guys tell each other everything. So if he has someone, he would've let you know", you knew this was true, but your brain was sabotaging you right now. "You'll never know if we never go"
You sighed out loud, grabbing you purse and leading you and Jack out the door.
The moment you arrived, the place as already buzzing. You recognized almost everyone as you greeted them and introduced them to Jack, but your eyes surveyed the room, looking for someone in particular.
Since he wasn't all that hard to miss, you spotted him just a few minutes later. Taking Jack's hand in yours, you led him to the other side of the living room. As if he could sense your presence, Noah turned around and his eyes landed on you, lips widening into a smile. But you could see it faded a little bit when he looked at who was beside you.
You dashed towards him, letting Jack's hand go and engulfed him in an embrace. You stood on your tiptoes so you could nuzzle your face in his neck and Noah's hands went to curl around your back. You breathed a sigh of relief.
"I missed you so much, you have no idea", you murmured in his ear.
"I missed you too, sweet girl", He wanted to enjoy the moment, but he couldn't help but steal a look Jack's way as his hand moved dangerously low on your back. He noticed the dude was smiling. What kind of boyfriend - or hook-up - would smile watching their significant other interact with another person like this?
He didn't know, but he decided to lay it on thick tonight. Maybe he would get the message to whom you actually belonged to.
He was being unreasonable, but he couldn't help it.
Disentangling from him, you turned around to look behind you. "Noah, this is Jack, Jack this is Noah", you introduced them. Jack extended a hand, but Noah didn't take it, opting to greet him with a nod instead.
"I've heard a lot about you, man", Jack said and Noah felt a swell of pride at the fact the she mentioned him to the people she went out with.
"Funny, 'cause I haven't heard about you at all", Noah couldn't help the jab the came out of his mouth, but Jack seemed unfazed.
"We're coworkers, but started to hang out just recently", Jack cleared up. Noah made a sound of acknowledgment, but didn't try to carry on the conversation, turning towards you instead. One of his arms was still wrapped around your waist, holding you close to his side.
"The boys wanted to see you, they're out back playing beer pong", Noah told you. You looked back at Jack.
"Go, I'll be fine here. I think I'll grab something to drink", he reassured you. You knew Jack had no problem mingling with other people, but you stil felt bad abandoning him here by himself. You trusted his words, though, and followed Noah outside.
When you stepped out on the patio, you noticed there was no beer pong and no other band members who missed you.
"Where is everyone?", you asked him.
"They're in there somewhere. I'm sorry, I just wanted a minute alone with you", Noah confessed, but you weren't mad, you also missed your one on one conversations.
You sat down on the same chair, on the same positions you were at during the last party that happened here. The coincidence wasn't lost on you.
"Is Jack your boyfriend?", Noah started, wanting to ask the question that was eating him alive for the last couple of days.
"No, he isn't. He's just my co-worker", you explained.
"But like, are you hooking up with him?", he pressed for more.
"We went out on a few dates, but I realized it wasn't gonna work, so now, we're just hanging out as friends"
"When was that? Were you not gonna tell me?", his questions were starting to annoy you. Yes, you were best friends, but he was thousands of miles away, hooking up with other girls and not telling you about it either.
"I don't have to tell you everything", your defensive mode kicked in.
"Yeah, but it would've been nice to know"
"It's not like you were telling me about your hook ups either", if he wanted to go there, you would go there. You would love to hear this excuse.
"What hook ups?", he looked incredibly confused at your statement. There was not a day on tour that Noah didn't think about you. He had no desire to hook up with other people.
"The blonde girl you probably took back to your hotel room?", you hated how jealous and desperate you were sounding right now. But this was eating at you and you needed answears.
"What blonde girl?"
"If you're not gonna be truthful, I don't see the point of this conversation", you got up from your chair, but before you could open the door to go back inside, he took a hold of your arm, making you turn around.
"I'm not doing this on purpose. I genuinely don't know what you're talking about", he was firm in his words and you took a moment to really look at him in the eyes, finding no lies there. So you sat back down.
"You left the show in Texas with a blonde girl. There were pictures all over the internet, people said you were pretty cozy together", you explained, grabbing your phone and scrolling until you found the picture and showed it to him.
"Oh, this blonde girl?", he took a good look at the picture and you hummed in confirmation.
"She is Alana's sister. She lives in the area and attended the show that night", he explained, not really making the situation any better.
"Ok? That doesn't change the fact that you left with her", Noah wanted to smile, because you were jealous of him, so that meant you cared, right?
"I did leave with her", he confirmed, but you sensed a bit of teasing in his voice. Was he really making fun of you in this situation?
"I left with her because her boyfriend was parked one block away and I didn't want her walking alone. So I walked with her", he said in the calmest voice and a little smirk on his face.
"And why were you holding her hand?"
"I don't know where you heard that, but it isn't true"
As soon as the words left his lips, you didn't know if you felt relief or embarrassment. You shouldn't have trusted what you saw on the internet, and you should've asked him about it sooner. But you didn't want to make a fool of yourself, in case he didn't feel the same about you. Guess that didn't work very well.
"I'm sorry about this. You have the right to hook up with whoever you want. I don't know why I'm feeling this way", you knew, but you didn't know how to say it out loud.
"Are you really not going out with Jack?", he asked once again.
"I'm really not. There was nothing there, no spark, no butterflies, nothing"
"Great, so he isn't gonna be mad when I do this"
You found yourself in the same position as months ago, your face enveloped in his hands, but he didn't wait this time, as he placed his lips on yours.
They were so very soft as they molded and slotted into yours, moving in a slow pace, wanting to savour the moment he's been waiting for for months.
You felt on cloud nine, but you wanted him closer. You've been so far apart, that now you wanted him as close as you could get.
So, without parting your lips, you got up from the chair and situated yourself on his lap, your legs on either side of him. One of his hands moved from your face and to your waist and up your back, spreading warmth through you.
With a little bit of hesitancy, you let go of each other's lips, but stayed with your mouths close.
"You have no idea how long I've waited for this. I've been driving myself crazy on tour, thinking about how I should've kissed you that night", his voice was low, only for you to hear it.
"You're here now, you can kiss me as much as you want", you smiled wide, happiness taking over your body.
"I will, since you're mine now, get used to being kissed every minute of the day", his smile matched yours, just with a little more mischief in it.
"Oh, I'm yours now?", he gave you a peck on the lips, humming into the kiss. "I think I've been yours for a while", you observed casually, and it was the truth. You belonged to each other, even though it took you a while to realize it.
He gripped your waist tighter, bringing you closer together.
"That's fucking right", and you resumed kissing each other.

If I have to ask, I don’t want it.
Tumblr media
Alexia Putellas x Reader [ANGST.]
Years into married life, Alexia gets bored of you. Based on a quote from Frida Kahlo.
//
I’m not asking you to kiss me, nor apologize to me when I think you’re wrong.
“Where the hell were you?” you ask Alexia, confronting her after she walks into the house way past midnight. It’s four hours past she promised to be home, having gone out with the girls for a drink after training. You were home all day waiting for her but she sounded like she needed some time to relax after being cooped up at home from her surgery so you told her to have fun and sorted yourself out. She had promised to only be an hour or two, but it turned into six hours without even a phone call or text.
“Don’t start with me, I’m not in the fucking mood for one of your lectures,” she growls, throwing her bag down and walking into the house without even a glance at you. Your eyes fill with tears, hands clenched into tight fists by your side as she slams the bedroom door behind her.
You follow her, tears flowing down your face. She’s in the bathroom brushing her teeth, rolling her eyes when she sees your crying state in the doorway.
“What does that mean?” you ask her, arms crossed before wiping away your tears.
“I wanted to drink, it’s none of your business what I do.”
“You promised me you’d be home by 8.”
“I’d rather be out with them than stuck at home with you.”
//
I won’t even ask you to hug me when I need it most.
Tears rolled down your cheeks when the doctors told you you couldn’t have children. Your heart shattered into a million pieces when he uttered those words to you and your wife. Alexia looked almost distant, you figured that she was simply devastated by the news and didn’t know how to process it. The moment you got home though, she had lots to say.
“You’re telling me you didn’t fucking know?” she yelled the moment the front door closed.
“Ale, I’ve never had problems before! I-”
“Save it. You know I wanted to start a family and now you fuck things up.”
“Ale, I’m sorry…I’m so so sorry,” you tell her, moving closer to her. you reach out for her hand but she flinches away.
“Save your apologies for someone who cares.”
//
I don’t ask you to tell me how beautiful I am, even if it’s a lie, nor write me anything beautiful.
You’re at an award ceremony with Alexia, she’s sat at the table chatting away with Aitana while you are backstage waiting to receive an award. The beige dress you had on matched Alexia’s suit, there were many compliments hurled your way the entire night. One person hadn’t said anything to you yet, not one compliment from the person that mattered the most to you. Even if you knew that you didn’t come close to being hers.
“She looks stunning in that dress, doesn’t she?” Aitana compliments you as you walk out on stage. Alexia is on her phone, texting someone who’s clearly more interesting than her wife receiving an award on stage.
Aitana slaps her arm, getting more and more annoyed at her friend.
“What?” Alexia says angrily, Aitana just rolls her eyes.
“Alexia. She’s looking at you.”
Alexia looks up at the stage just in time to hear you thanking her for being her beautiful wife and for sticking with her through all the rough patches throughout your career. She forced a smile, knowing that there was surely a camera on her.
You know her well, and that itself hurts because it’s when you walk off stage and you see her smiling at her phone that you know you’ve lost her.
//
I won't even ask you to call me to tell me how your day went, nor tell me you miss me.
Three days. It’s been three days since you last heard from Alexia. You were both on international duty, the England camp was going smoothly when Sarina called for a quick break. You sit beside Leah and go on your phone, hoping to see if Alexia has texted you. Nothing. Your shoulders slump a little and your best friend notices, a look of concern across her face.
“What’s up?” Leah asks, genuinely curious.
“Nothing, it’s,” you contemplate telling her. telling her that you know Alexia is seeing someone else. Loving someone else. Kissing someone else. Fucking someone else. But you hold your tongue. You force a smile like you’ve seen Alexia do in front of you lately, hoping it’s enough to convince your best friend. She doesn’t buy it but knows not to pry, especially when she can see that you’re hurting.
“It’s nothing.”
//
I won’t ask you to thank me for everything I do for you, nor care about me when my soul is down.
“Dinner’s on the table,” you tell Alexia as she walks into the kitchen. You look up to see her all dressed and ready to go out, your expression changes to one of sadness.
“You go ahead,” she says, grabbing her car keys. “I’m meeting someone for dinner.”
“Is it the woman you’re always texting?” you ask quietly, back turned to her. You were a coward, your mind told you; you couldn’t even bear to see the expression of pure surprise on her face that quickly turned into one that was serious.
“I am texting no one,” the front door opens, “Don’t stay up.”
//
I won’t ask you to support me in my decisions.
Having requested to be loaned for the rest of the season, you were excited to see what clubs would want to have you for a while. Arsenal had always been interested in you, having played alongside Leah in the academy when you were younger. So when their legal team got into negotiations with Barça, you immediately agreed.
Things at home hadn’t at all improved, you figured that some time apart would be good for you both.
“Can I speak with you for a second?” you sheepishly ask Alexia who was sitting in the living room on her laptop working away.
She doesn’t even look up at you, nodding her head for you to continue.
“I’m moving to Arsenal for the rest of the season.”
“Why?” she asks with a sharp tone, eyes narrowing in an accusatory fashion.
“They don’t need me here at Barça, besides, it’s not like you need me either.”
“So your solution when we’re having issues is to run away to England? You’ve always thought about yourself and not the team.”
“Don’t you dare say that, I have given this team my everything.”
“And yet here you are, throwing it away because you’re mad at me!”
“Who the hell says I’m doing this for you?” she looks taken aback when you raise your voice. You rarely did, and it takes her by surprise.
“I am doing this for us. You can’t even LOOK at me without looking like you’re disgusted by me. I am going, whether you fucking approve or not.”
//
I won’t even ask you to listen to me when I have a thousand stories to tell you.
“She’s having the time of her life there! Did you see that goal she scored over the weekend, that’s goal of the year material no?” Patri talks to Lucy and Ona about you, the girls missing you, and having spent the weekend bonding and watching your game against Watford.
“Sí, it was perfect. She is thriving at Arsenal, but I hope they give her back!” Ona says with a light chuckle, leaning into Lucy’s side in the locker room after training.
Alexia walks in, Patri yelling at her to join in on the conversation. It was her wife they were talking about anyway.
“Did you talk to your wife at all today? She called me last night and said that she misses you.” Lucy tells her, watching the captain sit in her cubby and undo her shoes. Alexia shakes her head, immediately getting on her phone.
“No, I didn’t have time last night. I’ll text her.”
“What could you possibly be doing except sulking when she’s not at home? You didn’t have a drink with us either, quite frankly you seemed eager to leave after watching the game yesterday.”
“What I do or where I go is none of your fucking business,” Alexia stands and walks across the room to them. She shakes with rage, eyes filled with pure anger at the insinuation of her being unfaithful. She was, but the thought of her friends finding out that she was doing this to you ate at her. You were perfect in their eyes, the person who would be there for anyone, no matter what. And there she was, being the very thing she promised never to do to you the day you got married.
//
I won’t ask you to do anything, not even be my side forever.
Divorce. That was where your marriage was headed. As you sat in your lawyer's office drawing up the documents, you were devastated. Pictures of Alexia with another woman surfaced just before you got home for Christmas. The plane ride was the worst 2 hours of your life. Alexia and you were through. She hadn’t loved you for a very long time but you had tried so hard to ignore it and convince yourself that it wasn’t true. Those pictures were a slap to your face.
She looked happy with her.
She looked content with her.
She looked in love.
You set the papers in front of her at lunch with the girls. They sat in silence as she read the stack, slowly realizing what you had just handed to her. She tried to get you to take them back and work things out but you firmly held your own.
You knew your worth.
You didn’t need her anymore.
You didn’t need to ask for her love ever again.
Because if I have to ask you, I don’t want it anymore.

I GOT A FASCINATION WITH YOUR PRESENTATION | BND
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing : idol!bnd x idol!reader
genre : fluff
WHAT ! - isac love with bnd (i apologize if the sports make no sense…im not athletic.)
ty anon !!
w.c: 1134
@onedoornet @miidorei @sol3chu @loserlvrss
SUNGHO :
(please dont ask me why sungho always gets hit with a basketball)
sungho swore his members had favorites, why when riwoo ask them to go front row with them to see his crush they go but when sungho ask they dont?? anyways, he sat front row ready to watch you play basketball
the match was intense, no sides have made a shot yet and everyone was anticipating for the first team to shoot. sungho held the edge of his seat as he leaned in watching you closely to see if youd make it, he wished on every star he knew and said every affirmation he could think of to hope youd make a shot. he watched you try to get the ball, chase the ball, dribble it, he just needed you to shoot the ball. just then you managed to get the ball in your hand and as you were about to shoot it you made eye contact with sungho and accidentally threw it towards him. but before he could react you managed to run out the court and grab it mid air as it was about to hit him. (you ladies alright?) sungho just stared at you as you apologized profusely and checked his face for any scars or damage. you were eliminated from the round but sungho took advantage of that. “i think i need ice for my face, can you show me where the ice is?”
RIWOO :
(i actually cannot)
riwoo always loved dance but especially loved watching others dance. so when he heard that his idol crush was competing in dancesport he convinced bnd to move to the front for the stage so he can get a better view
as you walked past him to get on stage, riwoo pulled his knees to his chest and rested his chin and his knees smiling slightly excited to see your performance. so the music started and you and your partner got into formation, although he wished that one day you two would dance together he can work with this for now. he watched you move to the beats and melody of the music elegantly distinguishing the sounds of the crowd and just focusing on you. he was just wowed by your performance, how could someone be so perfect or do it all? when your dance ended and you walked to the exit of the stage, riwoo put his hand out for a high five with smile not expecting you to reciprocate it. but to his suprise as you walked past him he felt your hand on his
JAEHYUN :
i feel like this mofo would think hes slick
boynextdoor came in late (ofc.). as jaehyun walk into the gym with his sunglasses on looking cool as he model walks until taesan taps his shoulder and tilts his head towards your direction letting jaehyun know youre there. and he’d get his act right so quick.
the glasses are off and hes serious leader mode. the whole isac hes acting so tough using his leader card to move the members around and make sure theyre not goofing off but secretly giggles to himself when he gets a glimpse of you. when jaehyun is finally up for archery hes so ready to impress you. he stretches his back a bit before holding up the bow and arrow aiming to shoot before completely missing. his ears goes red as he turns to peep at your reaction hoping youre not laughing at him (you are). jaehyun sat back down and started complaining to sungho about what just happened embarrassed, but when he felt a tap on his shoulder he expected it to be taesan but it was you giving him a water bottle as you let out a “you did great” with a smile that made him jelly. after a bit of courage hes gonna go off vibes and not logic anymore, hes walking up to you and talking to you.
(and as soon as you bring up how he held his bow and arrow upside down hes gonna start tweaking knowing he embarrassed himself like that infront of you)
TAESAN :
my nonchalant king
taesan walked in clearly embarrassed at his group being late and especially knowing youre there. taesan finds a seat on the ground with boynextdoor and hides behind sungho while trying to spot you. he sees you about the run for the relay and gets nervous as if hes running (??) but he had no doubt that youd win (even if you didnt youre still the best in his eyes)
as he sees you cross the finish line he cheers loudly in his head but claps in real life. taesan sess you sit down with your group and peeks over sunghos shoulder slightly to get these sight of you smiling with your members making him subconsciously smile. what he didnt know is that his shield, sungho. moved from being infront of taesan to go do his sport giving you a full view of smiling taesan. you waved at him making him get out of his mind and realize what was going on, he looked around to make sure you were waving at him and once it clicks hes so embarrassed but waves back. you smile slightly before walking away causing him to put his head in his hands as jaehyun shakes him laughing at the situation
LEEHAN :
(lets pretend he was there)
leehan sat on the bleachers watching jaehyun about to compete, leehan wasnt competing in isac but was still invited to watch, and it just so happened that you had a small injury in your leg a while ago causing you to be unable to compete but like leehan you were still invited
he sat directly right next to you (yes there were other seats) deciding to keep you company. you both talked about the most randomest things before isac even started or when the crowd came in. when leehan found out about your injury he furrowed his brows and scolded you slightly that you should be at home resting insteaf of out here. just then jaehyuns name was called to start the archery match. leehan refocused his attention from you to jaehyun about to shoot until he heard you slightly move. he looked back over to you making you laugh a bit “my foot is just sore from sitting in this small area” you said making him laugh a bit. he helped you elevate your foot completely missing watching jaehyun shoot the arrow.
“wait! you didnt see jaehyun shoot the arrow” you realized he wasnt watching his member do their sport
“he missed didnt he?” leehan said calmly as he moved your foot up to help it relax
he really could care less about jaehyun and that arrow when youre next to him (yes he knows jaehyuns gonna complain when he sees the clip of leehan not gaf)

Spencer Reid x Reader
Summary: When Spencer goes to pick Henry up from school for JJ, he doesn't expect to fall head-over-heels for his teacher
Warnings: Mentions of guns, I think that's it?
Word Count: 4541
Author's Note: I don't really like the ending I have here, but I'd LOVE to continue writing this universe, I have so many ideas!

“Fate shuffles the cards and we play.” ~Arthur Schopenhauer
~
Spencer walked through the doors of Henry and Jack’s school and headed toward the theater. JJ and Hotch had signed the boys up for the school district’s musical and had asked Spencer to pick them up. JJ and Will had their Thursday date night, and Hotch was stuck in the office. Spencer was more than happy to agree. He slipped into the auditorium and took a seat at the back, since he was still pretty early.
He saw a younger woman, probably in her early 20s, at the front of the auditorium with a clipboard and tape measure. She was presumably taking the students’ measurements for costumes while the instructor up on the stage led the children through the dance steps. The man he knew to be one of the high school teachers sat in the middle of the front row, making notes in a book.
The dance instructor clapped as the song ended. “Okay, everyone, that’s the choreo for the day. I’ll turn you over to Mr. Meadows.” She nodded to the teacher in the front row.
“Thank you Miss (Y/N). Take a water break, everyone, we’re back in five.”
A small chorus of “thank you five” was heard from the older students as the kids dispersed off the stage. The woman, Miss (Y/N) as Mr. Meadows had called her, hopped off the stage with ease and joined the younger woman who was taking a high schooler’s measurements.
“Okay, folks, let’s bring it back!” Mr. Meadows called. “Take your seats, please. I won’t keep you too much longer, I just want to go over today’s notes.” Spencer noticed the monotonous tone of his voice and the elementary schoolers’ attentions already fading. “First, I need my principles, minus Jack and Red, right at 3 tomorrow. Do not be late. Evan, that means you. We have vocal work to do with Ms. (Y/N) and I do not want to waste her time. The rest of my high school cast, 3:30. Next, principles, do your linework. The sooner you start, the easier things will be later. Finally, my junior cast, don’t forget to see Ms. (Y/N) and Ms. Addi with your grown-up before you leave. And with that, I’ll see y’all tomorrow.”
Henry ran over to Spencer, his overly large backpack thumping against his back. Jack walked behind him, dragging his bag behind him.
“Uncle Spencer!”
“Hey, kiddos!” Spencer said, kneeling down to catch the incoming Henry in a hug. Before he knew what was happening, Henry was dragging him towards the two women at the front of the auditorium.
“Miss (Y/N)!”
“Hey, Henry! Hi, Jack! You boys find your grownups?” the dance instructor asked him. Her clothes reminded Spencer of the teacher on that Magic School Bus show Henry liked. Her pants were covered in music notes and she wore large, dangle feather earrings.
Henry nodded. “Uh-huh! This is my Uncle Spencer!”
You looked at Spencer and smiled. “Well, while I talk to your uncle, why don’t you go let Miss Addi take your measurements for your costume?”
Once Henry bounded over to the young woman with a clipboard, Jack following close behind, Spencer said, “Uh, my name’s Spencer Reid. I’m an authorized pick-up for both Henry Lamontagne and Jack Hotchner. I’ll be bringing him home today, too.”
“Uh, Hotchner, Hotchner,” you muttered under your breath, flipping through the clipboard in your hands. “Ah, here he is. I just need your signature next to both children’s names, Mr. Reid.”
“Oh, uh, of course.” He took the clipboard and pen from you. “So, are you new to the district? I don’t remember seeing you around before.”
“Oh, no,” you said with a laugh. “No, I’m here on a volunteer basis, technically. Been working with the theater department for six years, but I’m not on their payroll. I actually work-”
“Can we go get pizza now?” Henry asked Spencer, tugging on the sleeve of his jacket.
“Ooh, a pizza party? You must be the fun uncle,” you said.
Spencer’s face flushed and cleared his throat. “Uh, s-sure, Henry. We’ll get it on the way home.”
“Bye, Miss (Y/N)!” Henry said, wildly waving his arm.
“Bye, Henry, bye Jack. I’ll see you boys on Monday.”
Spencer watched you for just a moment longer as another child and her guardian approached you.
~
The team was reviewing a local case. 3 women were killed, all dressed in period clothing.
“You think he’s making them look like Jack the Ripper’s victims? I mean, their throats are slashed and they’re dressed in Victorian clothing.” Morgan suggested. “And we know the victims are low-risk, victims of opportunity.”
“I don’t know,” Reid muttered, scrutinizing the crime scene photos. “Something about the clothes feels off.”
“The clothes are the key. Something about them will lead us to him,” Rossi said.
“Reid, you and Callahan look into the clothing more. Dave, you and Morgan go to the latest crime scene. JJ, you’re with me. We need to build a geological profile.” After Hotch gave the assignments, the team dispersed. Spencer and Kate Callahan stayed in the briefing room, looking over the photos.
“What if we have an expert look at the clothes?” Kate suggested. “See if anything sticks out to them? There’s a professor at the university that’s known for her dissertation on historical clothing.”
~
“Now, if you look at contemporary theater, you’ll notice huge differences in how typical gender roles are portrayed. Unlike the standard Golden Age piece, women are given more agency and more purpose in the story besides furthering the objective of the man. For example, West Side Story versus Hairspray. Even though both shows center on a woman, it’s Tracy’s will that drives the plot of Hairspray whereas Maria’s will does not drive West Side Story. This goes back to our discussion earlier in the semester regarding protagonists. However, we do see a shift during the Golden Age, in that women are beginning to be fleshed out as characters. Compare the women in Allegro to the women in Gypsy. As we progress through to the contemporary age, we begin to see more female-led shows take stage.” You glanced at your watch and sighed. “And that is where we will pick up next class. Please remember to read chapters 13 and 14 in your text. If you have any questions, you know where to find me.”
Your class gathered their belongings and slowly made their way out of the room. You were tucking your own belongings into your bag when you felt someone approach the desk.
“Office hours are at- Oh, hello.” When you looked up, a woman was standing in front of you, presenting an FBI badge.
“Dr. (L/N), my name is SSA Kate Callahan, and this is my partner Dr. Spencer Reid.” Standing behind her was a man you recognized from the school. He was the uncle Henry Lamontagne talked about all the time. “We were hoping you’d be willing to give us your professional opinion on some clothing pieces.”
“Oh, well, uh, sure. Let me just email my next class and let them know it’s canceled.”
As you pulled your laptop out from your bag, Agent Callahan asked, “Don’t you have a TA that could take over?”
You huffed a laugh. “I’m a professor in the theatre department. I’m lucky I have my own workshop and somewhat of a budget during show season.” You typed up a quick email to your next class and sent it. “I usually work in my shop instead of my office, but-”
“Wherever is most comfortable for you,” Agent Callahan said. “We have some pictures that are… well, gruesome.”
You nodded. “Well, then, to the dungeons it is.” At the concerned look the agents gave each other, you said, “My workshop is in the basement. My students affectionately christened it the dungeons a few years ago. I hope you don’t mind a few sets of stairs.”
“Lead the way,” Dr. Reid said.
Getting down to the costume shop was like a quest on its own. Not only did you have to trudge down several staircases from the classroom floors, but then you had to use your ID to take the elevator the rest of the way down. When you finally reached the basement, you dug your key hoop out of your bag and flicked through it. The key to the main portion of your shop was attached to a Phantom of the Opera keychain.
You unlocked the door and pushed it open. “Welcome to my shop. Feel free to sit wherever you can. If there’s stuff on a chair, just set it on a workbench.” As you set your bag down at the desk in the corner, Spencer looked around the room. It could be accurately described as organized chaos. While the work benches were covered in fabrics, thread, and many other things Spencer didn’t know the names of, everywhere else was meticulously organized. Bins and drawers were labeled, and not a thing seemed out of place. Spencer looked at the dress hanging on a mannequin and couldn't think of it as anything other than a work of art. There was elaborate beading on the bodice and embroidery on the skirt.
“So, what can I help you with?” you asked as Kate and Spencer got settled.
“We were hoping you could tell us about the outfits in these pictures,” Spencer said, pulling a file out from his satchel. “Fair warning, it’s not pleasant.”
You shrugged. “I grew up with a mom obsessed with crime shows and police procedurals. Pictures won’t bother me.”
Spencer handed you the file folder. “We think he’s dressing them up like Jack the Ripper’s victims.”
You hummed as you looked through the pictures. “Any idea what kind of fabric was used?”
“Why does that matter?” Kate asked.
“Well, cotton was a luxury in Victorian London,” you explained. “Most common folk wore linen or wool, because it was what they could afford. It was also common to patch up clothing with fabric found around the house rather than replace a shirt or a pair of trousers.” You grabbed a magnifier from your desk and looked closer at one of the photos.
“Do you see something?” Spencer asked as you moved to another picture.
“I’m not sure,” you said.
“Well, what is your gut telling you?” Callahan asked.
You pointed toward a small section of embroidery through the magnifier. “This stitching along the underside of the skirt. It’s on all of them.”
Kate’s eyebrows scrunched up. “I don’t understand.”
“It’s a signature. Us designers like to add some sort of signature or tell into all our pieces. A secret way of letting the world know the piece is ours.” You reached across the desk and grabbed a piece of fabric. When you unfolded it, they saw it was a shirt. You held the edge of the sleeve out for the agents to see. “For example, I use a treble clef as mine. My mentor would include Mickey Mouse heads because she was a huge Disney fan. Other people just find creative ways to embroider their initials onto it in a way that just looks like an artistic choice.”
“So, if we can find out whose signature it is, it can lead us to the origin of the outfits,” Spencer said.
“I’ll call Garcia, see what she can find.” Callahan said.
“Oh, we don’t get cell service down here, you might need to go back upstairs,” you told her. She nodded and stepped out of the workshop. You cleared your throat. “It’s, uh, it’s nice to see you again, Dr. Reid.”
“You, too,” Spencer said with a small smile. “So, this is where you actually work, huh?”
You gave a small laugh. “Yep. Start of this semester was 7 years.”
“Congrats.”
“Thanks. So-”
“Reid. Hotch wants us back. Rossi and Morgan might have something. Thank you for your help, Dr. (L/N).”
“Of course. Happy to help.”
After Callahan and Reid left the costume shop, Kate said, “Okay, spill. The energy in there was really weird. Why didn’t you tell me you knew her?”
Spencer rubbed the back of his neck. “I, uh, I didn’t know I knew her.” At Kate's questioning look, he explained, “I met her through my godson. She volunteers at his school and goes by her first name there.”
“Uh-huh. And the awkwardness?”
“When have you known me to not be awkward, Callahan?”
Kate hummed, but dropped it.
~
You were humming along to the soundtrack you had playing, measuring a drape of fabric on your dress form, pins sticking out from your mouth. You glanced from your notebook with your measurements and pattern sketch to the fabric. You pinned a piece of the cloth up when you heard a knock at the door to your shop.
“Come in,” you said, your voice muffled from the pins. You stuck them back in the pin cushion on your wrist before standing up and dusting off your pants. “Oh, Dr. Reid! How can I help you?”
“You, um, you can call me Spencer,” he said. “I uh, I wanted to stop by and tell you we caught the guy,” Spencer said, standing awkwardly in the doorway. “We-we couldn’t have done it without your help.”
“Oh! Well, I’m sure you would have figured it out anyway. The BAU seems to be good at that kind of thing.”
Spencer gave a small laugh. “Yes, but your help enabled us to track him down without any more lives lost.” So, what are you working on?”
“Oh, I’m making one of Eponine’s dresses. We’re doing Les Mis this semester. I have Cosette’s dress on Cordelia over there.”
“Who?”
“Oh, sorry. The dress form. We named them after Shakespearian women. It’s just a fun little thing we do here. That’s Cordelia, this one by me is Rosalind.”
Spencer smiled. You know, maybe you could tell me more about what exactly your job is at dinner?” Before you could answer, Spencer said, “Obviously, you don’t have to, I’m not trying to force you into anything, I-”
“Spencer,” you said, holding your hand up to calm him. “I’d love to go out with you. Here-” You walked over to your desk and shuffled papers around. “Aha!” You grabbed a pen and scribbled something down. “My personal number. That way we can, you know, figure out something that works with both our schedules. I’m sure yours is even crazier and more unpredictable than mine.”
The smile you gave Spencer lit a warmth in his chest that he didn’t think he would ever get tired of.
~
“Pretty Boy! Tonight, drinks on me.”
“Oh, uh, no thanks, Morgan.”
“No, no, no, you can’t just stay in when we finally have a Friday night off. You’re coming.”
“Look, it’s not that I don’t want to- I mean, I don’t, but it’s not just that. I, um, I already have plans.” He glanced at his watch. “I’ll see you all on Monday.” He grabbed his satchel and rushed out of the BAU office.
Morgan’s brow furrowed as he watched Spencer’s retreating form.
“What’s wrong?” JJ asked.
“Remember the last time Reid was this jittery and secretive?”
She sighed. “You know I do.”
“What happened last time?” Kate asked.
“Maeve,” Garcia answered, her voice just above a whisper.
“We have to find out what’s going on with him,” Derek decided.
“I really don’t think that’s necessary-”
“Let’s follow him,” Garcia cut Kate off. “See where he’s going, what he’s up to.”
~
“That can’t be true!” Spencer laughed. “There’s no way!”
You were laughing too. “I’m serious! I stapled the sleeve of my sweater to the set piece we were building and I didn’t notice until we were ready to lift it into place! They wouldn’t let me in the wood shop after that.”
Spencer couldn’t stop smiling the whole night. You were funny, smart, and everything he could hope for.
“So, how did you end up working with the school district?”
“My niece,” you explained. “Her senior year, their regular choreographer went on maternity leave. The district said if they couldn’t find someone to fill the role, they would cut the play. Julia called me melting down over it, begging me to volunteer. And, you know, I’ve never been able to say no to my nieces and nephews. After that production, we found out that the choreographer was quitting to be a stay-at-home mom, so I agreed to be the regular choreographer on a volunteer basis. Then the next year, their costume connections fell through. I worked through the university to provide costumes, which is how the internship program started. This year, I’m just filling in on vocal directing while the choir director is out on medical leave. And Into the Woods is one of my favorites to sing anyway. So, what about you? How’d you end up working for the FBI?”
While Spencer told you about going to college at 12 and meeting Gideon, Morgan, Garcia, and JJ were sitting at a nearby table, hiding behind menus.
“Who is she?” Garcia asked, trying to get a better look at you. Your back was to their table.
“I don’t know. Never seen her before.”
JJ squinted. “Something about her seems familiar.”
Before they could do more digging, a waiter came over to take their orders. When the waiter left, Spencer’s table was empty.
“Where did they-”
Spencer walked up to their table, arms crossed against his chest. “Really, guys? Did you think you were being discreet?”
“Kid, look-”
“You were being all secretive, we were worried about you!” Garcia cut in.
Spencer sighed and dropped his arms. “I didn’t mean to worry you guys. I just- We’re all so in each other’s business, and this is so new I-”
“You wanted to keep it to yourself,” JJ said. “We get it. Looks like she’s coming back from the bathroom. We’ll get out of your hair.”
“But-”
“Come on, Pen. I’m sure he’ll tell us all about it on Monday. Right, Spence?”
Spencer smiled. “Sure, Jayje.”
~
Phone calls with your family always stressed you out. It wasn’t that you had issues with your family, it was just that they always seemed to be up in your business. And that held true for your monthly family dinner.
“(Y/N/N), I’m telling you, you’d get along great with this guy,” your older sister, Maria, said. You were over at her house for dinner, your parents and other two siblings video-calling from their respective locations. “I know you feel like ‘the universe and fate will align’ and introduce you to your soulmate or some shit, but that’s not really how the world works.”
You sighed. “Maria-”
“Come on, you haven’t dated anyone since college!”
“Because I haven’t had any interest. Liz, back me up here,” you said to your younger sister, who was feeding her twin toddlers.
“What?”
You shook your head. “Never mind. Can we just change the subject, please? Tommy, how’s school going?” you asked your younger brother, the youngest in the family. You could tell he was only half paying attention from his dorm room. “What classes are you taking this semester?”
“Maria’s right, sweetheart,” your mother said. “How will you ever meet someone without putting yourself out there?”
“Ma-”
“I mean, you’re not getting any younger-”
“I have a boyfriend, okay, Ma? I don’t need your help!”
Your family fell silent.
“You have a boyfriend?” Liz was the first to speak. “What’s his name? Where did you meet? How long have you been together? How-”
“Elizabeth, let her breathe!” your father said with a laugh. “We’re happy for you, pumpkin. Tell us about him. At your pace, of course.”
You smiled and told them about Spencer. Only after promising to bring him to the next real family dinner did they relent and change the subject, pestering your little brother about his college classes.
~
You and Spencer were a damn near perfect match. After that first date, the two of you barely went a day without calling or texting each other. When he was in town and not across the country on a case, he would bring you lunch. You’d frequently stay over at each others’ apartments. Months into your relationship, you knew each other better than yourselves.
Which is why, when you didn’t answer your phone on a Saturday afternoon when the team got back from a case, Spencer was concerned. He made his way to your apartment and fished the spare key you’d given him out of his pocket. He pushed your door open.
“(Y/N)? Love?” He walked into your apartment, which was unusually messy. Scraps of fabric were littered around the room, and music was blasting from your home office. “(Y/N)?”
You came rushing out of your kitchen, your hair a wild mess and your oversized pajama top drooping from your shoulder. You skidded to a halt.
“Spencer! What are you doing here?”
“We just got in from the case. I tried calling-”
“You did?”
“-to see if you wanted to grab dinner.” You pulled your phone from your sweatpants pocket and saw the 3 missed calls from Spencer. “Are you okay? What’s going on? You look like you haven’t slept in days.”
You sighed. “I haven’t. I’ve been working nonstop. I need to make the mask for the Wolf, the Witch's coat, and Enjolras and the other revolutionary’s waistcoats, and my sister asked me to make a dress for her coworker’s daughter’s quinceanera and-”
“Whoa, whoa, hey. Breathe.” He cupped your face in his hands. “You need to stop working yourself so hard,” he said, rubbing your cheekbone with his thumb.
“Says the man who overworked himself so much he developed chronic migraines.” At his raised eyebrow, you said, “Sorry.”
He smiled softly and kissed your forehead. “Why don’t you let me help you out a bit? Give me instructions, I’m a quick learner.”
You reached up and pulled his hands from your face. “Spencer. As much as I absolutely treasure and adore you, the thought of you seeing the absolute disaster that is my home workshop right now is literally the most terrifying thing I can imagine. More terrifying than you meeting my family. Which, by the way, my mom is insistent that you come to Thanksgiving this year.” You yawned and leaned your head against his chest.
“We can talk about that later.” He kissed the top of your head. “How about now, into bed? You’re dead on your feet, love.” When you only nodded, Spencer led you to your bedroom.
After getting you settled in your bed, Spencer went to stand up. You reached out and grabbed his hand. “Stay,” you mumbled, tugging him towards your bed.
The next morning, Spencer walked into the round-table room late.
“Well, look who’s wearing the same clothes,” Derek said. “Fun night?”
“Shut up, Morgan,” Spencer said, taking a sip of his coffee.
Hotch looked over Reid before saying, “As I was saying, Indianapolis needs us to write up a consult. Garcia is passing around the case file.”
~
Spencer was filling out paperwork at his desk when his phone started ringing. “Dr. Spencer Reid.” He froze as he heard the person on the other end of the line. “Oh- oh my god. Yeah, yeah, no, I’ll be right there. Uh, thank you.” He slammed the phone down and started gathering his belongings.
“What’s wrong, Reid?” JJ asked, watching Spencer cram a folder into his satchel.
“(Y/N)’s at the police station.”
You were walking home from the fabric supply store when a young man stopped you. He couldn’t have been older than 20. He pulled a gun and pointed it at you.
“Give me your purse,” he said. You saw the way his hand was wavering.
You straightened up. “No.”
“You-you can’t say no! I-I have a gun!”
You just blinked at the man- practically a boy. Then you kicked him in the groin, causing him to drop the gun as his hands flew to cup his injury. You pressed your foot on top of the gun, preventing him from picking it back up, then you dialed the police.
They brought you to the station to give a statement. You were sitting next to one of the detective’s desks when Spencer ran in.
“(Y/N)! Are you okay? What happened?”
The detective nodded at you and gestured toward where Reid had come from, indicating you were free to go.
You shrugged at Spencer. “Some punk-ass kid tried to mug me. Had a gun and everything.”
“What?”
“It’s fine, I knew he wasn’t gonna go through with it.”
“How could you possibly have known that?”
“Spence, I’m from Philly. It’s not the first time someone’s tried to mug me at gunpoint.”
His eyes went wide as saucers. “That doesn’t make it better!”
You smiled and kissed Spencer’s cheek before taking his hand. “I’m fine. Thank you for coming to get me.”
“Of course, (Y/N). I love you.” Your smile widened as Spencer’s face started to pale. “I mean, uh-”
“I love you too, Spence. Come on, let’s get out of here.”
~
“Okay, closing night,” Mr. Meadows said, addressing the students, all in their brightly colored costumes. “I’m incredibly proud of all of you for making it this far. This is our last show, you’ve all done great so far. Go out there and give them one last show to remember. Now, before we get in places, Ms. (Y/N) is going to lead you through a vocal warm-up.”
“Thanks, Mr. Meadows,” you said, taking your spot in front of the group. “Okay, guys, you know the drill. Repeat after me, then all together.” You took a deep breath before leading, “To sit in solemn silence on a dull dark dock, in a pestilential prison with a lifelong lock, awaiting the sensation of a short sharp shock from a cheap and chippy chopper on a big black block.”
After the cast ran through their warm-up, you said, “I’m so proud of all of you. Go out there and break legs. I’ll see you all after at intermission.” You waved before slipping from backstage, making your way to the lobby.
It wasn’t often that you got to just sit and enjoy the hard work your students put in, but one of your interns was staying backstage in case of any costume emergencies. You spotted Spencer in the crowd and wove through everyone to get to him. With him were Henry’s parents, Jack’s father and aunt, as well as the rest of the BAU team.
“Hey,” Spencer said, grabbing your hand and giving you a quick kiss. “Glad you could join us.”
“Me, too,” you said as you slowly made your way into the auditorium to find your seats. “It’s gonna be nice to just enjoy the show for once.”
As the show began, you felt Spencer looking at you.
"What?" you whispered.
"Nothing. The costumes are beautiful. You're an artist."
Your cheeks flushed at his words. You took his hand in yours and rested your head on his shoulder.
Like Cinderella and her prince, Spencer was your happily ever after.

San just can’t let you go
A/N: Fair warning, it’s angsty and might make you feel things
It’s been three months. Three months and he still can’t get you out of his head. Three months and he still found stray tears on his cheeks thinking of you and how you left him.
He can’t stop himself from reliving the night in his head in agony.
You couldn’t deal with his idol life and you had told him so right before he went on stage. He couldn’t hear the thousands of fans behind your heart breaking words.
“I can’t do this anymore, Sannie.” His eyes glued to your lips as they seemed to move in slow motion. “I gotta think about my life now.”
What were you trying to say? “No.” The word came out breathless as he watched tears stain your cheeks. “You’re breaking up with me? Now?!”
His own tears started to mirror yours as someone tried to pull him away to get on stage.
“I’m sorry.” Were your last words to him that night.
Once the show was done, he couldn’t speak to anyone. Not his manager, not his members, not even his parents who had called to check in on him.
All he could do was call you and send you a flurry of text messages when your voicemail played in his ear for the hundredth time.
Now he nursed a bottle of soju as he sat in his car right in front of your home. Somehow, he always ended up here when he wanted to drink, just sulking and crying over you.
Just as he took another swig of the sweet alcohol, a knock jolted him in his seat, the liquid sloshing over onto his shirt.
“Fuck.” He mumbled, looking out the passenger window and seeing your figure. You were in your pajamas, a shawl hung over your shoulders as you hunched over and motioned for him to let you in.
He had never moved so fast, leaning over the console to unlock the door and swing it open for you.
You hesitated to sit on the cushioned seat and close the door. Hesitated even more to look at him, knowing that if you did, you would say things you would regret.
“Hi…” You said, staring straight out the windshield as San’s teary vision took you in.
When he spoke his voice was hoarse, strained. “H-hi. I-I missed you.” The words vomited before he could stop them. “How have y-you been? I love you.”
“San..what are you doing here?” Your own voice barely overpowered the rumbling engine of the vehicle.
“Missed you. Wanted to see you and you’re here!” He chuckled. “You’re here…and I missed you so much.”
“You said that already.”
“Yeah, yeah. I know.”
You both fell into a tense silence. You couldn’t help but steal a glance at him. He looked defeated, broken. Had you done that to him?
Had you caused him those sleepless nights? Had you made him lose the life in his eyes? All because you stopped dropping your own priorities to run and be apart of his.
“Please..” The man couldn’t help his voice from cracking. “I-I need you…I think about you every day. I can’t just let you go.”
“It’s been three months, San. You’ve got to move on.”
San reached over the console, grabbing your hand and bringing it to his chest and resting it against his beating heart, “Please don’t make me! I can’t do it! I love you!”
“Well stop! Stop loving me! You’re killing yourself! Look at you!” You snatched your hand away only for him to chase it and grab it back, peppering kisses to your knuckles as he cried against your skin.
“I need you..please don’t go.”
“I have to.” Yet you made no motion to move.
“I love you..” San mumbled, pressing the palm of your hand against his wet cheek.
You squeeze your eyes closed as his warm skin makes your heart skip a beat. “I-I love you too, Sannie. I always will but we need space.”
“No. No we don’t. We can work it out. We love each other and that’s enough.”
“It’s not-“
You gasp as his grip on your hand tightens and his eyes blow wide “It is! Don’t do this to me!” He shouts at you.
Your eyes lock on each other and you can’t bring yourself to look away.
You shouldn’t do this. You shouldn’t have even stepped foot outside your door but seeing him cry in his car for the fourth time that week made you feel guilty.
Now you were here, and he was moving closer, testing your boundaries, seeing how far he could get before you shut him out.
He tilted his head as he drew closer, the tips of your noses brushing against each other as his eyes fluttered closed.
“Just let me feel something other than pain..just for a minute.” He murmured, his breath against your lips as you sat centimeters apart.
He was waiting for you to give him the green light. He was waiting for you to tell him that it wasn’t really over, not yet.
And when you closed the gap and melted against his lips, he swore he could feel everything.
In that moment he vowed, he would die before he gave you up

You and Tom were once again woken up by the blaring of your alarm filling the room, your boyfriend adorably groaning before tightening his arm around you in a near perfect repeat performance of yesterday morning.
"Do you have to be at the briefing room early again today?" he grumbled, his fingertips tracing up and down along your spine. "Draw names again?"
"No…" you sighed, your tone immediately making him tense up.
"Sweetheart?" He tilted your head to look up at him, his sleepy eyes gradually becoming more alert as he met your gaze. He moved your hair away from your face, tucking the stubborn front strands behind your ear. "What's wrong? You look like you haven't slept."
"I couldn't," you blurted out, wincing the second the words came out of your mouth.
"What's wrong?"
There was a lump at your throat so large you could barely choke out the words. You already felt like shit making him worry about you like this, you didn't want to make it worse.
"Please talk to me, my love," he whispered, tracing this thumb along your lower lip before bringing you closer to press a kiss to your forehead. "I won't much help if I'm flying blind. Something's eating at you and--"
"Why aren't you tired of me yet?" The words just flew out of your mouth, your voice tiny and if you were being completely honest with yourself…you were embarrassed that you'd even allowed the question to take over your thoughts to the point of sleeplessness. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have--"
Before you could say anything else, he tightened his arm around you and sat up, positioning you so that you were sitting on his thighs.
"I should have seen it," he whispered, concern filling his eyes as he traced the lines of your face. "That woman's words from last night, they got to you. Affected you in a way neither of us thought of preparing for."
"Sweetie, this isn't on you." You did your best to just wave off the conversation, placing your hands on his shoulders and trying to work at the now tense muscles. "I know we've been through this before, we don't have to do it again, I shouldn't have said any--"
"Stop." He wrapped his hands around your wrists, stopping you from what you were doing. "It doesn't matter if we've had this conversation before, if we have to, then we'll have it again. As many times as you need." He gave a quick tug and your chests were pressed together, his arms snaking around your back and offering you no escape. "I love you." He pressed a kiss to your lips. "Only you. You know that, right?"
"I do, I really do. I just--I didn't realize how bad what happened last night fucked me up until I realized I couldn't close my eyes without reliving…" You took a shaky breath, the memories of the last serious relationship you had before Tom trying to drown you. "Without reliving what happened before. I mean…if I had a nickel every time a would-be homewrecker knocked on my boyfriend's hotel room door dressed in lingerie, I'd have two nickels. And that's just the ones that I know about."
He didn't say anything in return. He just proceeded to press light kisses across your face, holding you tighter against him. "My sweet goddess," he whispered into your skin, sighing when he'd kissed his way to your lips. "No one will ever succeed in luring me away from you. If you only knew how in every moment I have to myself, all I can think about is having you with me again…" He kissed along your collarbone, repeatedly whispering your name and declarations of love with every kiss.
"God why do you even put up with me I can't be that good in bed--" You let out a yelp as he flipped your positions on the bed, your back landing on the mattress with a soft thud.
"You should know by now that nobody gets to talk about the love of my life like that. Even you, sweetheart." He latched his lips onto the spot between your neck and shoulder that had you weak and squirming beneath him. "I've known since before our first night together, before you first kissed me, that I would spend my future loving you. Regardless of how you felt for me. I resigned myself to the fact that part of me was forever yours before you ever let me share your bed."
"Sweetie…" How was it that he somehow always knew how to draw you back from that dangerous ledge your mind often went to? "How are you not sick of handling my stupid little moments yet?"
"Firstly, they're not stupid. I would never belittle your fears like this," he mumbled into your neck, working his arm underneath you to lift your hips off the bed and pull you closer as you writhed underneath him. "And secondly…I quite like handling you." You felt him smirking against your skin at the squeal that hitched at the back of your throat. "Comforting you, loving you, is not and will never be a chore for me."
As he captured your lips in another soft, slow kiss, his words from last year began to echo in the back of your mind all over again. I know you're not ready yet, but I want you to know that I am. I've always been.
The guilt sat heavy in your heart knowing that you knew exactly where he was and where he wanted to go, and yet you couldn't bring yourself to stop looking at your life in complete disbelief. Waiting for the other shoe to drop. It happened before, what was stopping the universe from making it happen again?
"I'm still scared that one day I'm gonna wake up and you've disappeared," you confessed when he pulled away, inwardly wincing at how pathetic the words made you feel. "I haven't been as afraid the last few years but last night…it brought all those fears back to the surface I mean what if I wasn't here when she showed up--"
"Then I would have told her that I'm in a happily committed relationship and I have no need for anyone else. I would have turned her away," he said, answering your unfinished question. He laid you back down flat on the bed, proceeding to kiss his way down your body, stopping when his lips hovered over your heart. "I need you to know that I'm not going anywhere. That I'm yours for as long as I live. You're the last woman I'm going to love."
You inwardly cursed at yourself for still being unable to say the words, the sentiment still refusing to move past the lump in your throat. I'm on the same page with you. I want to be yours for the rest of my life. Can I keep you?
Instead you lifted a shaky hand to weave through his short dark blond curls, finding yourself breathing a touch easier when you heard him sighing in contentment at your touch. "You should know I feel the same way. I'm no good with words but I'm getting there I'm trying I really am--"
"You don't have to say anything right now, sweetheart. When you're ready, and only when you're ready, I will be right here with you. I always will."
He moved his large hand down the side of your body, curling around your knee to hook your leg around his waist. Your moans began to fill the room when he lowered his head and captured your nipple between his lips, licking and sucking it into a stiff peak. "What're you--"
"What time do you have to start wakeup calls?"
The words threw you in for a loop, your mind stumbling and scrambling to recall your morning schedule. Briefing room by 8, players should be in the field by 7:45, twenty to thirty minutes to run across the hotel and get to the other three players assigned to me…
"7:15," you said between heaving breaths, letting out another moan when he repeated his attentions on your other breast.
"Then we have time…" he mumbled, kissing his way back up to your lips, a devilish grin painted across his devastatingly handsome features. "We'll leave this room together and I'll go to the field, then you can go start the rest of your wakeup calls."
You started to whimper and moan against his lips as he started to roll his hips into yours, already feeling his quickly hardening member rubbing against your entrance. "Wait sweetie I still have to take a shower, change my clothes." Dammit Y/N keep your mouth shut why are you turning down morning sex, you absolute buffoon, you hissed at yourself. "I can't go to the field smelling like sex--"
"We can shower together," he answered back smoothly, stealing another kiss from you before speaking again. "And I packed a change of clothes for you for this exact scenario."
"And what scenario is that?" you asked him breathlessly, a thrill running through your whole body as he stroked your thighs before parting them the slightest bit more and settling his hips between them. Your hand slammed down on the mattress, gripping the sheets when you felt the tip of his length rubbing up and down between your folds, teasing your entrance.
"The one where I want to keep you in bed a little while longer," he rasped, starting to inch his way inside you, letting out a shuddering breath before pressing a kiss to your shoulder. "We're not leaving this room until last night's insolent visitor is nothing but a distant memory."
Tumblr media
There must have been an angel smiling down on both you and Tom today, seeing as you were assigned to work the field again, even functioning as an assistant cameraperson as a few people from one of the crews set to shoot footage of today's Training Week events fell ill.
You were set to assist in filming the penalty shootout later on in the afternoon, handling a relatively smaller camera that would focus on the players watching rather than the players shooting for the home dressing room. For the morning, however, you were mostly guiding the photographers through the field, ensuring that they were at a safe enough distance so that the chances of them getting hit by a stray ball were significantly slimmer.
"Oi, if you stare a little harder your eyes'll burn a hole through 'er head," Jill's voice broke Tom out of his thoughts, elbowing him lightly when he stole one last glance at you before running into the playing area.
When he finally got to his teammates, his skin brisled at the discovery that they too were staring shamelessly at you, talking about the little mouth-shaped bruises that peppered your neck and chest. It didn't help that he might have added to that count this morning while he was comforting you.
"I mean if she didn't want us to look then she woulda worn something that doesn't show off her tits so much. And those hickeys are practically a red neon arrow going Look over here, gents."
Tom shut his eyes, making a conscious effort to unclench his jaw before facing them, putting on a whole performance as he smiled at them and pretended he didn't want to conveniently forget that he was a gentleman and strike them clean across their cheek. "Lads," he greeted them through gritted teeth masked as a smile. "Shall we proceed with some drills?"
"In a minute, Y/L/N is about to lean down and--No, come on sweet thing, move your hand outta the way!" The loud holler from his teammate had you snapping your head in their direction, and he could see your neck visibly tensing when you saw his teammate with hands cupped over his mouth, not even bothering to seem ashamed of the distasteful remark.
You were called over to a table by the bleachers, and finally the immature lewd comments about you seemed to stop and they all proceeded with drills for a short while. If only his teammates hadn't once again opened their mouths once they paused to take a break.
"You gents think she and her boyfriend would be opposed to a threesome? Too pretty of a thing for just one man to keep to himself."
Another one chimed in. "Downright greedy is what it is. Everyone should have the God given right to see a mouth that sinful stuffed with--"
"You know, I really don't think her boyfriend would appreciate hearing you all talk about her like she's some sentient sex doll," he finally blurted out, fighting the urge to clench his fists as his heart thundered in his chest.
"Pssh come on, I know you have your woman but even you with your A-list standards have to admit that she's a looker."
She is and she's mine, he inwardly seethed. "You can appreciate someone's beauty without being so crass about it."
"Loosen up a little, Thomas. Pretty sure her boyfriend would be proud knowing nearly every man with a pulse here wants a go at that. And it's not like he can even hear us, whoever the lucky bastard is." His teammate sighed as he looked over at that table again, making Tom hold himself back with all his strength as he watched him so brazenly adjust his shorts in front of everyone in the field. "Just one night. Lucky bastard just gotta share for one night."
Your words from last night rang loud and clear in his mind. He refused to let this go on. It was time to make things less private.
"Actually the lucky bastard can hear you all just fine," he announced loud enough for all the horny assholes to snap their heads to look at him. "And I can tell you right now neither of us are open to sharing."
Tumblr media
"You know…I didn't see you come back to the room this morning," Simone commented with a teasing tone when she passed by the table you were sat at. "Not to be a bit of a Nosy Nancy but…if your clothes were with us, where'd you--"
"Boyfriend," you answered simply, smiling at the memory of this morning's shower with Tom in his room. And the numerous, extensive kisses you shared before parting ways for the morning. "Apparently he kept an outfit change for me in his luggage. Contingencies."
"Nice boyfriend," Joelah commented, plopping down on the seat next to you and jutting her chin toward the laptop in front of you. "Whatchu workin' on?" Before you could answer, she placed a hand on your shoulder, making you face her as she silently counted the marks on your neck and chest. "Fuckin' A you weren't kidding about your boyfriend thinkin' he's a vampire do you have more…"
"I do," you answered with a little chuckle, giving them a casual shrug. "The ones from earlier haven't even started showing yet--"
"What?!" Joelah and Simone all but shrieked, eyes wide and jaws on the ground as the former waved Douglas over. "Please tell me you know something about who the mystery man is, we still have three guesses."
The player shrugged in response. "All I know is that Jill knows and she refuses to share with the class. Just said something about if we paid enough attention we woulda figured it out by now because, and I quote, it's 'damn near impossible to miss the smitten on that man'."
"Honestly you guys Jill just basically dropped a name and asked me point blank if we were a thing," you offered, giving them a tiny smile. "So I said yes." You turned your gaze back to Joelah. "As for your earlier question, I'm doing security penetration testing on the auction site for the match-worn jerseys. Trying to make sure no one can just insert their bid without actually putting in the money and all that."
You turned back to the laptop to go through a few more test cases before sending over a checklist of some more advanced attacks for the development team to test out, as you wouldn't have enough time in the day to spare in this consult for those. From the corner of your eye you saw Joelah lean back in her chair, facing the England team.
"Ungh Don't talk about penetrating right now, babes, it's making me think things" she groaned, the frustration in her tone so potent you could practically hear her pout. "Unholy things. For a certain Player Number 6 with that obscenely tight jersey and that arse I mean just fuck me running look at the sheer power in those moves."
Without looking up from your computer you darted your eyes toward the field to sneak a fleeting glance at Tom, the stupidly tight shirt you masterminded him into stretched so tight across his back muscles you could see the definition even from this far, and his stance putting his ass and thighs on borderline sluttish display. You had to purse your lips and bite back your words before you voiced a similar sentiment, only yours mentioning that you knew exactly what power those legs held while he took you against the shower wall earlier this morning.
"Ohh Christ on a bike was I too loud?"
"I don't think so," you answered her, typing away your findings and starting on your final test. "Why what's up?"
"He's looking at the table, I'm no better than those horny asshats making crude comments at you I feel like a right knob--Wait…hold on…" She pointed at herself and you heard a faint "Me?" coming from her before she started patting your shoulder to call your attention. "Never mind he's not looking at me I think he wants to talk to you."
That was enough to make you look up completely from what you were doing, meeting your boyfriend's gaze from ten yards away. You gave him a tiny smile, raising your eyebrow in a playful questioning look. He raised his hand and gave you a little wave, prompting you to do the same.
He then started to mouth a message to you that had your breath catching in your throat with a borderline inhuman sound. I. Love. You.
"Wait hold on--?!" Simone shrieked from the side. You could hear that she and Joelah had clasped their hands together like best friends in a high school hallway, watching one of their own getting a Promposal.
"What?" you mouthed back, barely able to hold back the smile that was pulling at your mouth. What he did next had you breaking out into a full on toothy grin, joyful tears prickling at the back of your eyes.
He cupped his hands over his mouth and hollered his message again. "I said I love you, Y/N!"
You felt the air leave your lungs, unable to hold back your joy as you saw that heartbreakingly handsome face beaming at you. With cupped hands over your own mouth, you hollered back at him, "I love you, too!"
A hand clasped around yours, and Joelah looked at you with wide excited eyes. "He's--??"
"He's the boyfriend," you confirmed with a vigorous nod of your head. The other women looked at you jaws slack and silently prompting you to give up some more details. "Going on seven years."
"So he did all…" Douglas motioned at all the marks on your chest. "That??"
"And the ones that haven't started showing yet," you shot back with a cheeky wink.
"Ohh my lordy me I just realized," Joelah gasped. "Keeping things low key?! You already told us before and we were just being so fucking dense about it! You were so slick with that!" You only gave her a little shrug, giving yet another confirmation, before she jutted her chin again to point at something behind you. "Your man's coming over."
You took a breath before turning to see Tom breaking into a light jog making his way to you, immediately reaching for your hands when he got close enough. "Hello, sweetheart," he said with a heaving breath, the exhilaration radiating off him in waves as he moved his hands up your arms until he got to your shoulders. "You looked so tense, I needed to check on you." Once your shoulders relaxed he wrapped an arm around your waist, grasping your chin with his free hand, coaxing you to unclench your jaw. "Are you alright, goddess?"
"I am now," you sighed contentedly, feeling the tension steadily leaving your body with each passing second. "Thank you for checking on me."
He leaned in, brushing his nose against yours. "I'm here for you, my love. Always," he said softly, framing your face in his hands. "But now that I'm here, perhaps I could…steal just a little kiss?" He looked at you with those pleading eyes that never failed to get you weak in the knees.
"You know I can't say no to you…especially when you ask so nicely." You barely had time to take in a breath before he braced his hand behind your back, tilting his head to close the remaining inches of distance between you and press his lips to yours.
The faint sound of the ladies next to you clapping and squealing surrounded you, made louder when he splayed his hands at your upper back and your hip before dipping you. He smiled against your lips when you let out a muted squeal of your own.
Jill's voice broke through your moment, remind you both exactly where you were. "Alright adorable as you two are, get your arse back out on that field, Hiddleston. You can kiss your girlfriend all you want after today's training."
You giggled from your position, holding on to his shoulders as your upper back rested perfectly comfortably on his thigh, as he pulled away with numerous soft pecks to your lips. "I love you," he whispered against your lips, pressing one more kiss before righting both your stances.
"I love you, too," you said back, unable to wipe the smile off your face as he jogged toward the field. Once you turned to face the rest of the women at the table, the sound of a frustrated shriek and stomping on cement hit your ears. Followed by a distant 'It's not fair!!' that had you all laughing amongst yourselves before Jill called out to Douglas to get back on the field as well.
Later that night you knocked on Tom's hotel room door, a look of slight concern on your boyfriend's face as he eyed the bag in your hand before a smile graced his features, realizing why you had your luggage with you.
"My roommates kicked me out," you said, making a whole show of sticking out your bottom lip in a little pout. "Something about it being pointless to keep my things there if I don't sleep there anyways." You tried to bite back the smile as he stepped toward you, running his hand down your arm until he took the handle of your overnight bag from you. "You don't happen to have a place for me to crash, would you?"
Your giggles filled the hall as he wrapped his other arm around your waist, your feet leaving the ground as he brought you into the room, kicking the door shut. "I only have the one bed," he answered you, his voice raspy as your bag hit the floor with a soft thud. "You'd have to adhere to a few rules, however."
"And what exactly are these rules?" you shot back, failing to stifle your whimper when he laid you down on the bed, smirking down at you as he worked his hands under your shirt.
"First…no clothing." He made quick work to pull your shirt over your head before pressing his lips to your now bared stomach, sucking and biting another bruise onto your skin while he unclasped your bra. "And second…you'll have to sleep in my arms at all times." He kissed his way up your body until his lips ghosted over yours. "Do we have a deal, goddess?"
You closed the last bit of distance between you, pressing your lips to his before answering him. "Always."

Tumblr media
"We will be ready to start again in 5," a staff member near the sound booth said. You sighed as you plopped yourself down on the side of the stage. Another staff member ran over to you with water and a new microphone.
"I'm sorry about all the issues, Y/N. We're working to fix them now, and I assure you it won't happen again," he said, handing you the water.
"Thank you," was the only answer you could provide. Anxiously, you sat on the side of the stage, getting your in-ear monitors fixed, already feeling frustrated and out of breath.
This was your debut performance of the highly anticipated Stray Kids X Y/N song. Countless late nights had been dedicated to crafting this masterpiece, with you and your husband Chan pouring your hearts and souls into every lyric and melody. The song had soared to the top of the charts in a matter of days due to its popularity, which brought immense pressure. Any misstep during this crucial performance could spell disaster for both of your upcoming comebacks, tarnishing the success you had worked so tirelessly to achieve. You had run through the performance once, but unexpected sound issues had arisen, causing you to be behind schedule.
Chan, usually by your side and supportive, was busy with his own schedule, making sure he and the kids were prepared for the performance as well.
You scanned the room, watching staff buzzing around and fixing what you could only imagine were other issues. Each staff member moved with purpose, adjusting lights, checking sound equipment, and ensuring every detail was in place for the upcoming performance.
Amidst the chaos, you closed your eyes and took a deep breath in an attempt to calm your nerves. You let the sounds wash over you, the cacophony blending into a soothing rhythm. With each deep breath, you felt the tension slowly ebbing away, replaced by a sense of quiet determination.
Then, you heard it.
The wailing of your almost 4-year-old son, Kai. He had decided that this particular moment was the perfect time to be anything but calm. He cried and wailed incessantly, much to the dismay of the nanny who had been entrusted with his care. Your eyes shot open to see Kai running towards you, with the nanny following just a few steps behind.
"Mommy!" Kai wailed as he ran into your arms.
"I'm so sorry, Y/N. He slipped out of my hands and has been crying all afternoon, and I turned for one second to grab him a toy, and he ran off," the nanny explained.
"It's okay," you replied, turning your attention to the crying boy in front of you. "I w-wanna be with M-Mommy!" Kai cried out.
"Kai, sweetheart, you know you can't be in here." You replied running your hands through his hair.
"But Mommy—"
"No buts. Baby, I'm sorry, but both Mommy and Daddy have to work. You have to stay with your Nanny," you said gently, hoping to lure him back to his nanny. But Kai's disappointment was evident as he cried even more.
"We're ready to start again, Y/N," a staff member said ignoring the scene taking place in front of him.
"But I don't like Nanny!" Kai protested, his voice rising in pitch as frustration bubbled within him.
Your patience wavered, the pressure of the impending performance weighing heavily on your shoulders. "Kai, I understand, but you have to be a big boy for me, alright? Mommy and Daddy need to work. We'll spend lots of time together later, I promise."
His bottom lip jutted out in a pout, his tear-streaked face a portrait of stubborn defiance. "I don't want later, I want now!"
Feeling frustrated and overwhelmed, and with Chan nowhere in sight, the only solution in your head was this. You scooped Kai up, adjusting his soundproofing headphones as you got in place to begin the song.
But Kai seemed determined to make his displeasure known. As the music played, and you began to sing, you felt his tiny hands grasp onto your microphone, tugging at it with all his might. In the midst of the commotion, he also managed to yank out one of your in-ear monitors, leaving you disoriented and struggling to hear the music properly.
What you didn't realize is that Kai also had his sippy cup in his hand. With all the commotion, it popped open and spilled—
All over you.
As the music shifted, symbolizing the entrance of Stray Kids, you shot Kai a look, hoping to get him to behave. Your eyes met Chan's, and he shot you and Kai a look of confusion. He noticed you were struggling, and he quickly sprang into action. Despite needing to sing and dance during the sound check, he took Kai into his arms, attempting to calm him down while still fulfilling his duties on stage.
Meanwhile, with your microphone dangling precariously from one hand and your in-ear monitors in the other, you tried your best to soldier on. But the frustration was evident on your face as you struggled to maintain your composure amidst the chaos. The song ended, and you heard your manager through the one remaining in-ear monitor.
"Y/N, what's going on? This is your second run with all the issues fixed, and this one was worse than the first. We don't have time to do this again."
Out of frustration, you pulled the in-ear monitor out of your ear. Without a word, you stormed off the stage, taking Kai out of Chan's arms, leaving him and the rest of the kids behind.
You brought Kai into a nearby room and crouched down in front of him, your anger simmering just beneath the surface.
The sight in front of you was painful. Your little boy stood there, looking so innocent with the cup and a piece of your in-ear monitor in hand.
You couldn’t believe it.
You fought to maintain your composure, but couldn’t. The soft sound of approaching footsteps only served to heighten your frustration, pushing you dangerously close to your breaking point. With each passing moment, the pressure mounted, a simmering rage threatening to boil over.
"What the hell, Kai?" You let out. "What is wrong with you today? You misbehave all morning, are mean and fussy with your nanny, and then look," you said, pointing at yourself, "you pulled off my microphone and in-ears and spilled your juice all over me." The little boy stared back at you with big brown eyes and a pout on his face.
"I've raised you better than this, Kai. What is wrong with you?!" You raised your voice a little, causing Kai to jump. He took little steps quickly to hide behind his father, who was now standing in the room. His little hands were shaking, and his lips were quivering.
Chan's eyes softened as he felt little hands grip his pants.
"Baby...What's going on?" he said to you, picking up his son with one hand, wiping the tears that began to stream down his face once again. "Don’t stress out, baby. It's okay,"
"No, Chan. It's not okay. He's constantly disobeying, and every time he does, you just wipe his tears and let it slide. That's why he keeps repeating these behaviors. You've coddled him so much that we can't even put him down for a few minutes!" You groaned frustrated as you stood.
"Y/n, it's fine. He's just a baby—" You shot a pointed look at him instantly, causing him to fall silent and redirect his attention to his son, who was clinging to his shirt.
"I'm s-sorry," Kai choked on his sobs.
Chan's heart melted at his little pout. "It's okay, baby, no need to cry. Daddy's got you," Chan wiped the tears from his cheeks and gently took the cup from his tiny little hands. "Y/N, look what you've done, now he's panicking."
"Seriously Chan?" you replied, clearly annoyed.
"He's just a kid! Kids cry, they make mistakes. He's still learning, Y/N. We need to guide him, not scold him," his voice grew louder with frustration.
"So how exactly do you plan to teach him? By comforting him, telling him it's alright, and then forgetting about it, knowing he'll repeat the same behavior in the future?"
"HE'S A CHILD, Y/N! He learns through trial and error. He doesn't fully comprehend right from wrong yet. Why do you always resort to yelling? And why am I always the one expected to properly care for him?"
"Properly care for him? I'm the only one who does since you're hardly ever home! I do everything for him. I—"
"Stop being a poor parent and actually teach him. For someone who didn't want a kid, you're oddly protective of him."
You stared blankly at him.
You, the one who was up day and night when Kai was sick, While Chan was working in the studio
You, the only one who took him to all of his appointments, dance classes, games, and events, while Chan was away on tour.
You, the only one who sat with him when he was struggling with homework, when Chan was too tired to stay awake.
You, the one who took care of Kai and never took a break, while Chan never did.
You.
The tension in the air was thick. The shocked gasp that left your mouth was painful. Your head started to spin, your eyes turning red as your body started to overheat. The emotions you felt were overwhelming. Your eyes landed on your son, who was covering his face in his father's chest, as Chan's eyes grew wider and wider, realizing the weight his words had on you.
"I'm- I'm sorry," the little boy squealed again.
"It's okay, baby," Chan comforted his shivering body.
"Well, maybe since I'm such a poor parent and a terrible teacher, I should let you handle it all on your own then," you said, brushing past him and your son and closing the door behind you on your way out.
You were stunned, your mind struggling to process everything. Your hands felt icy, and the weight of it all became too much to bear. You were exhausted from constantly putting up a front, tired of shouldering everyone else's burdens.
You longed for the freedom you once had, to reclaim your own life.
The urge to flee, to escape from it all, gnawed at your thoughts.
Yes, you cherished Chan and the life you shared, but you yearned to rediscover yourself. You craved to feel cherished, to be loved by your husband like you once were. You wished to relive the carefree days of youth, to experience love anew.
You made your way to the dressing room, seeking solace. Despite the turmoil within, you had a show to perform tonight. Sitting down, you took a deep breath, gazing at your reflection in the mirror. Tears welled up in your eyes, staining your cheeks.
No.
You refused to let the chaos of the moment ruin the performance ahead. With determination, you steadied yourself, forcing a smile.
The show must go on.

How Sweet It is to be Loved by You - LN4 x reader:
Tumblr media
Mars’ Notes: I’ve never ever written anything like this before, but after rambling at @love-belle for a stupid amount of time, i thought why not? surprised it ended up being for lando and not charles but if this goes well i might j start writing a bit more!! anyways, i’m excited, please lmk what you think <333
Warnings: None!! super super fluffy :)
Description: Lando comes home to you, and everything is ok again.
————————————————————
Lando was exhausted. He loved his job, the roaring of engines, the loud shouts that always seemed to accompany the mechanics as they made any pre-race adjustments to his Mclaren, the screams of fans in the grandstands and during fan stages, but god, sometimes all he wanted to do was wrap his arms around your waist, bury his face in your neck and never leave. You were his peace, his moment of quiet in an otherwise hectic day. He missed you, and you were his rock during race weekends. He had spent the last week wishing you were with him and cheering him on from your spot in the garage.
“Lando? You ok, mate?”
Danny’s voice broke him out of his stupor, bringing his mind back to the private jet he was currently sat in, accompanied by the older driver. Just three more hours, and you can hug her all you want, he thought to himself.
“Yeah, fine, mate. Just wondering what’s for dinner.” he said, a smile on his face.
“If you say so” comes the reply, accompanied by a bright, dimpled smile.
————————————
After a hectic run through security and the throng of fans that were waiting diligently for him at the gate, Lando had finally made it home, his hands trembling at the prospect of finally kissing you again as he pushed his key into the lock of your shared flat.
“Lando? Is that you, my love?”
Your voice floated through the hallway, and he visibly relaxed - he was finally home, he was finally with you, and there was nowhere he’d rather be.
“Yeah, sweetheart, it’s me. Were you hoping for someone else?” he teased, seeing you emerge from your bedroom, clad only in one of his favourite Quadrant hoodies, and fluffy socks, your hair falling around your face in messy waves, silver wire-rimmed glasses sat on the bridge of your nose. You padded over, soft footfalls echoing, until you were stood in front of him.
“Oh shush and hug me, you muppet.”
He closed the gap between you, and wrapped his arms around your waist, melting into you.
“God, I missed you”, he said, his voice muffled by your neck. You giggled and reached up to hug him back, carding your hands through his hair and leaving sweet kisses wherever you could reach.
“I missed you more, love. Would you mind helping me with something quickly?”, you mumbled into his hair, “I know you’re tired, and it’s been a long day, I just think my brain’s gone to mush and I can barely read what I’m writing.”
He lifted his head, and simply smiled at you, brushing his thumb against your cheek, “That’s what I’m here for, remember? Moral support and grammar police” he said, winking at you in an effort to make you laugh. You looked stressed, and he could tell you had been working away at your essay for far too long already, the pressure weighing heavily on your shoulders. “I’m assuming it’s another essay for class?”
“Mhmm, the professor decided it would be a good time to assign a stupid essay two weeks before midterms.” Your eye roll and answering nod was all it took for Lando to toe his shoes off, leaving his bags and coat by the door before he dragged you back into the bedroom, dramatically flipping into the double bed that occupied the corner, landing amongst the multitude of stuffed toys that had migrated to his side of the bed in the short time he was away.
“Right then, Ms. L/N, get your pretty arse over here and read me this essay.” he said, posing and putting on his best posh British accent, earning a laugh out of you. This was what Lando lived for, these quiet moments of domesticity where all he could hear was your laugh and he could revel in the fact that it was him, him who made you laugh and him who had the pleasure of hearing it.
You grabbed your notebook from the desk you had set up opposite the bed, claiming that you worked better when you knew Lando was close to you, and walked over to the bed, climbing in and placing his head in your lap.
A reporter had once asked him a question along the lines of “If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be?” He had, of course, answered with the typical “on a race track”, the answer that wouldn’t have the Mclaren PR team screaming at him post press conference, but if he really had to pick, he would say with you. Anywhere with you was where he wanted to be, but he felt so at peace here, in your bedroom, with his head on your lap and your hand in his hair, your voice soft and sweet as you read him the opening paragraphs of your midterm essay.
Lando nuzzled further into your thighs, your nails now scratching across his scalp in a way that made him feel boneless. He could feel his eyes slowly slipping closed, the warmth and comfort lulling him into a peaceful sleep.
———————-
You were three paragraphs in when you stumbled on your words, struggling to understand a sentence you’d written.
“See, that’s the sentence I really don’t get. It just sounds so chunky and I really have no idea how to make it flow more, you know? I know it needs to be technical, it is an engineering essay after all, but it just sounds so hard to read and I don’t know how to make it sound better.”
You waited for Lando to tell you that you’d made a silly grammar mistake, or that you just had to split the sentence in two to make it more digestible, but you were met with silence. Looking down at your lap, you saw Lando asleep, smile painted on his face, a hand placed on your thigh, grip tight as though he wanted to make sure you wouldn’t move.
Lando had come into your life in the most unexpected way you could have imagined - cliché, but unexpected. You’d been waiting in line at a coffee shop, needing your daily dose of caffeine before your 9AM university lecture, and he had walked straight into you, a steaming hot Americano cradled in his hands, which had eventually made quick work of staining the cream bodysuit you had chosen for the day. He’d apologised countless times, turning back to grab a stack of tissues, even going so far as to attempt to rub the stain off, but had only succeeded in making it worse. You’d simply laughed, and told him that he really should go order another coffee, before the morning rush took over. He’d stared at you, open mouthed and speechless, before stammering through an affirmative and walking away. The next 5 minutes were spent throwing glances at each other through the crowd of people occupying the store, before he broke and asked for your number, stating that he at least owed you a new shirt, and perhaps even a date? It had been natural, and felt right from the moment he picked you up at 8 the following Friday, dressed in a suit and armed with roses.
You took one last look at the essay in your hands, and made the incredibly easy decision to call it a day. You placed the stack of papers on the bedside table, shifting in order to reach, only to have Lando grip onto you tighter, a mumble of “stay” escaping his pouted lips. Your heart clenched, and you couldn’t help but coo back that you weren’t going anywhere, my love, go back to sleep. You cleared as much of the bed as you could without disturbing your boy, and leaned back into the pillows you’d stacked behind you earlier in the day, Lando nuzzling further into your stomach, whining until you bring your hand back to his curls. As you shift, Lando reaches out to wind his hands around your waist, pulling you closer even in his sleep. You smile to yourself, and turn the small lamp on the side table off - your boy was home, and everything was alright.

word count: 1.2k
Tumblr media
The run throughout campus you had just made was purely off the adrenaline of the end of the semester. And not only the end of the semester, but the end of your college years. Four years, 135 credits later, and you were only one walk across a stage away from college graduation. The minute you handed in your final there was only one person you wanted to see and the 20-minute walk to his house became a 10-minute sprint.
You were panting by the time you were standing in front of his house and you took a minute to breathe. Thankfully the door was unlocked, so you stepped inside, toeing off your shoes quickly as you greeted one of Jaime’s housemates who was sitting at the dining table. He gave you a smile before you made a beeline to your boyfriend’s room. The door was open a crack so you pushed it all the way open and finally, your eyes landed on Jaime Reyes as he sat leaned over his desk, earbuds in and nodding along to whatever was playing in them.
You smiled as you shut the door before coming up behind him and plucking out one of his earbuds. His head popped up and he turned to face you, his face changing from one of shock to endearment.
“Hey—” Was as far as he got before you were cupping his face and leaning down to press your lips against his, tossing his earbud on the desk.
He didn’t miss a beat, reaching his hands up to grab your waist and bring you down onto his lap easily. You straddled his thighs, relishing in the feeling of his kiss, already high off the air of freedom. Jaime’s left hand pressed into your lower back and you sighed, letting your body melt against his.
There was a level of comfort that always came with his kisses and you needed that now. He managed to ground you just by existing and even when you were so happy you feel like you could float away, it was nice to know that he would be right there with you to share in that feeling. And it felt good. It felt good to be held by him, to be loved by him, and little moments like this reminded you of that.
“Mm, querida,” He started when you pulled away for a moment. “Not that I’m complaining, but what was that for?”
You beamed at him. “I just took my last final ever! I’m done!”
The smile on his face matched yours and he hugged you, keeping you secure in his lap. “Oh, I’m so happy for you. All that’s left is to graduate now, huh?”
“We’re so close.” You muttered, kissing him again, softer this time.
One of his hands slipped underneath your tank top, rubbing gentle circles into your skin and you sighed. Three years together and the smallest touches still caused goosebumps to appear, proven by the shiver that went down your spine at his continued action. Moving your hands to grip his arms, you were suddenly aware that he was wearing a cutoff tee, his arms and shoulders proudly on display.
Your fingers danced along the lines of muscle on his bicep, engaged in the soft skin beneath them. Your own skin prickled with heat from the feeling of his hands on you and you noticed him starting to deepen the kiss. You pulled back, relishing in the way that his head followed your movements, chasing your lips.
“Mm-mm, don’t think I’ve forgotten that you still have work to do.” You said, giving him a sly grin.
He groaned and looked past you at his desk, his notebook and pen abandoned from when you ambushed him. “Two more finals and then I’m free too. Then you won’t be able to get rid of me.” He said, smug smile on his lips.
“You worried?”
“Isn’t everyone?” He quipped, then let out a sigh when you gave him a serious look. “A little. But I know this stuff, I’ll be okay.”
You sit up a little in his lap, bringing your hands to his face once again and just took him in.
He met your gaze with a searching look. “What is it?”
You simply shook your head with a smile of your own. “I’m so proud of you.” He laughed, turning his head but you moved your own so you were still in view. “Jaime Reyes, with a degree in pre-law. That’s amazing.”
“I haven’t gotten into law school yet.” He said and you shook your head.
“But you will.”
“How do you know that?”
“Because you’re Jaime.” You made him look at you and didn’t continue speaking until you were sure you had his full attention. You had been by his side for three years now and in that time you had seen how dedicated he was to his studies, how sure he was that this was going to be his way to pay back his family for their sacrifices. You didn’t know anyone as intelligent, kind, and loving as him and you needed him to know that.
“Jaime, what you’re doing is incredible. You amaze me every day and I’m so lucky to know you. Your future is so bright, Jaime. There’s no doubt in my mind that you are going to do amazing things in this world. You’ve already done amazing things to mine.”
He tugged his bottom lip in between his teeth, holding back a smile. “I love you.” He whispered.
“I love you more.” And you meant every word.
He leaned forward and kissed you, then buried his head in your shoulder, holding you close. “I love you most.” He muttered into your skin, replying as he always does.
You sat like that for a moment, your breaths coming slowly and in sync. The gentle rise and fall of his chest against yours lulled you into a sense of security and you closed your eyes as you rested your head atop his. Below you, Jaime tightened his grip on you momentarily before relaxing again. It was quiet moments like this that made you appreciate your relationship even more. To know that you had someone you could go to and simply just be with, without expectations, was something you never wanted to take for granted.
To be that person for Jaime as well was a treasure you could have never saw coming. He was always the one with a plan, someone who consistently looked to the future and the life that was coming for him. You were glad that he knew he didn’t always have to be that person with you. That it was okay to be unsure, to feel scared. That when he felt like that, you would be the one to bring him back up.
“I can’t wait to do life with you.” You said, suddenly. All of these thoughts in your head needed to be released somehow, and this one sentence couldn’t begin to cover it, but you knew he would understand.
You felt him nod against your shoulder and he picked his head up as you did the same, allowing the two of you to look into each other’s eyes.
“This is only the start, I can’t wait for what comes next.”
